2D Simulation Summary

Question: How can I review the hydrograph passed between the 2D and 1D portions of the model?

Solution: In the 2013 version (or later) of xpswmm or xpstorm, you can output the time series for flow which passes between the 2D and 1D portions of the model by specifying the following items in the 2D job control.

First - 2D Job Control->General->Produce Check files is selected.

Second - 2D Job Control->Advanced Settings,->Control File 'Write X1D Check Files' with a value of 'ON'.

Four output *.csv files called *_x1D_Q_to_2D.csv; *_x1D_Q_from_2D.csv; *_x1D_H_to_2D.csv; *_x1D_H_from_2D.csv. will contain the flow transferred between the 1D and 2D nodes.

Note:*_2D_Q_to_x1D.xsv - This file lists only NODES which are connected to 2D with INTERFACE LINES

*_2D_Q_from_x1D.xsv - This lists all NODES which are connected to 2D with EITHER link spillcrest or invert to 2D
