Policy and Safety Paperwork
Obtain a Policy Booklet from HR during this time, along with a Safety booklet.
*Sign the applicable policies at the end and take a test that you have watched the safety video*
Pay special attention to the accident reporting portion of the video.
Ensure you have received your onboarding outline
Each department is different but please ensure that you and your supervisor adhere to the steps to ensure clear expectations of your role.
Proactively sit down with your manager and fill out the assignments / jobs to be completed over the next couple of days and months. Template provided.
It is a fast paced environment, so ensure you understand your expectations and ask questions. Do not hesitate.

Read through the policy document, safety document and your benefit documents online or hardcopy and write down your questions.
Proactively schedule a time (within two days) to revisit with HR/ Payroll to ensure that the entire checklist is completed and all your questions have been answered. Proactively ask your manager for feedback and get on his/her calendar to talk about your performance within the first week and also within the coming weeks. Discuss your training expectations and follow the onboarding template to assist you to ensure understanding regarding your role.
