L.I.F.T.The Ladies in Fellowship Together annual Christmas Potluck luncheon will be held on

Monday Ladies Bible StudyThe Monday Night Ladies Bible study will be starting a new study on Monday, January 9, 7:00 p.m.

at the La Vista Site. We will be repeating the 4-week study “My One Word” by Mike Ashcraft &

Rachel Olsen. By choosing one word that represents what you most hope God will do in you, you

will force clarity and position yourself for God to form your character at a deep sustainable level.

Preschool Pajama DriveThe Preschool’s outreach program for 2016 is the Pajama Program which provides new

pajamas to needy children, many of whom have been abused or abandoned. Scholastic

Book Club is matching each donation with a new book. We will be accepting donations of

new, unwrapped pajamas for newborns to age 17 until Friday, December 9. You can drop off

your pajamas in the box in the office or downstairs in the Preschool Office.

Peace International Friendship CenterThe Peace International Friendship Center will be hosting a Christmas dinner on

Saturday, December 10, 6:00 -8:00 p.m. They are looking for volunteers to help serve

dinner, do crafts with the children and help sing Christmas carols. Volunteers would

need to be there by 4:00 p.m. They are also in need of gift cards to Wal-mart or Hy-Vee

or cash to purchase food for the dinner. If you can help in any way, please contact

PoinsettiasIt’s time to order your poinsettias to help decorate the church for Christmas! The cost of the

plants are $7 for a 6-inch plant with 5-7 blooms. Envelopes are available on the tables in the

back of the Worship Center and you can place them in the basket on the bookcase in the front

office. Please submit your order by Sunday, December 11.

Kidnect Sunday School Diaper DriveOur Sunday School kids will be making a difference this holiday season by participating in a

Diaper Drive to support local ministries such as Parent Life & Lydia House. Families can drop off

diapers of any size during the Sunday School hour until Sunday, December 11. Please contact

Dina Newsom (dina@bslcomaha.org) with any questions.

Kid’s Night OutIt’s back! The next Kid’s Night Out fundraiser will be held on Friday, December 16, 6:00-10:00

p.m. Let us take care of your kids for the evening while you enjoy a date night or a quiet

evening at home. Our college & high school students will engage your kids in dinner, games,

fun and a movie. Suggested donation is $20 for the first child and $10 for each sibling. All

proceeds will go to support mission trips the students will be taking in the summer of 2017.

more information.

Giving TreeThank you to everyone who took a tag from the Giving Tree! Please remember that your wrapped

gifts with the tags on the front need be returned to the Giving Tree by Monday, December 19.

Holiday HoursThere will be NO Sunday School , Youth Worship or Nursery at either of our sites on Sunday,

December 25 due to the Christmas holiday. There will be NO Monday night service on

Monday, December 26 and there will be NO New Year’s Eve service. All of our regular

programming will resume on Sunday, January 1. Also, the church office will be CLOSED

December 26 - 30.
