programming will begin on Sunday, June 12. Thank you to all of our volunteers who have helped

VBSWe are in need of volunteers for both sessions!! We are looking for several Station Leaders, as

well as our normal high need of Crew Leaders. If you feel God may be calling you to serve in

sessions are scheduled for both sites: Tuesday, June 7 & Wednesday June 8, 7:00 p.m. at the La

Vista Site and Tuesday, June 14, 7:00 p.m. at the Northwest Site. A few spots are still available

at the La Vista session and plenty of spots are available at Northwest (Concordia High School,

156 & Fort).th

Financial Peace UniversityWe will be offering another session of Financial Peace University at the La Vista Site this summer.

The classes will meet on Monday nights, 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the Upper Fellowship Hall at the La

Vista site beginning Monday, June 6 and running through Monday, August 8 with no classes on

Monday, July 4. You may register online at www.daveramsey.com. Unfortunately we will not

be able to offer childcare this time. Please contact Julie Korte ([email protected]) with any

questions.

High School Pool PartyHigh School pool parties begin on Wednesday, June 8, 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the home of Tom & Susan

Lewis (10356 Virginia Circle). Bring a friend and join us on Wednesday nights for pizza, drinks and

L.I.F.T.We will be taking a school bus to Loess Hills Lavender Farm in Missouri Valley, IA. where we

will learn how lavender is grown & cultivated and it’s many uses from therapy to foods. We

will meet at the La Vista Site on Monday, June 13 at 10:00 a.m. and return at approximately

3:00 p.m. The cost is $20 per person and includes entrance fee, box lunch and bus ride.

Please park on the south side of the church so there won’t be interference with Vacation

Bible School. Seating is limited and reservations must be prepaid so please RSVP to Karen

Wollberg (402-884-6777) by Wednesday, June 8.

“The Longing in Me” a 6 week video based Bible Study by Sheila Walsh. Do your longings have you

going around in circles? Sheila Walsh draws on the trials in her life and the story of King David to show

that our longings are rooted in a deep need for God. The book and between session homework is

OrdinationEveryone is invited to join us for the ordination service of Beautiful Savior member, Tyler Carter on

Saturday, June 18, 2:00 p.m. in the life|story room at the La Vista Site. Tyler has completed his pastoral

education at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis. Tyler & his wife, Natalie will be moving to Grand Rapids,

MI to serve at Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Lydia HouseAngela Watt has organized a group of women to go down to the Lydia House on the 3 Saturdayrd

of the month to minister to the women and children living there. Their next visit is scheduled for

Saturday, June 18, 9:00-11:00 a.m. They are in need of donations for snacks, craft items for the

children and baked goods. Please contact Angela (402-637-7001) if you would like more

information, to volunteer or to donate.

Mission Matthew 28Mission Matthew 28, an Omaha based Lutheran Mission Organization, is

forming a mission team that will serve in Vietnam for 8 days over Thanksgiving

in November 2106. The anticipated cost will be around $1800 and will

include flight, hotel, transportation, food and insurance. The work will be

varied-with small children (both Vietnamese and expats), college students

and adults. If you have questions, please contact Mission Matthew 28 at 402-
