TERRACEWATERPROOFING

Terrace Solution

Removal of brickbat coba / plastic / waterproofing membrane, if any upto

mother slab

Concrete Substrate

Step 1

Waterproofing done on existing plasters/brick bat/bitumenous membrane will not give a fool-proof solution as water may penetrate through cracks developed in these systems. Hence, sound concrete substrate needs to be exposed before any treatment.

Step 3

Usage Guidelines

Compensates plastic shrinkage and natural settlement in cement grout.

High fluidity and cohesion with low w/c for easier placement.

Provides low permeability through reduced w/c.

Chloride free – no corrosion of steel. High reliable quality – produced

under rigid quality control.

Step 4

Clean the surface of any dust, dirt,

laitance, etc. and bring substrate to Saturated Surface

Dry (SSD) condition

Step 5

Proper surface preparation through chemical/ mechanical cleaning, blast or acid etching is extremely important for an effective performance of waterproofing system. Creating a dry, level and silt/dust/ laitance free surface allows stronger bond/adhesion between the waterproof system and substrate.

Saturated surface dry condition prevents rapid drying and weakening of waterproofing coatings and its bond to the substrate.

cementitious coating

Usage Guidelines

Superb adhesion to sound and prepared surfaces of most building materials.

Factory made packs-needs only mixing. Easy to apply by brush. Non-toxic, safe n contact with drinking

water. Anticorrosive to steel. Excellent protection against carbonation,

efflorescence and salt petering. Long lasting and highly durable

Step 10

Ponding test:Pond floor with

water for 72 hours to allow

curing and check for any leakage

Step 11

Ponding with water serves a dual purpose. As waterproofing system is cementitious based, water helps in hydration of unreacted cement particles developing mechanical strength and also helps in ascertaining whether any water is leaking.

Usage Guidelines

Permeability of concrete is greatly improved.

With increased cohesion, segregation and bleeding are substantially reduced.

Is highly effective in reduction of permeability due to hydrostatic head pressure or capillary action or both.

Increased retention property of slump. Improved surface finish of concrete. Very high quality – indigenous polymer

blend.

membrane, DURAFEX on plaster to avoid formation of shrinkage cracks

Usage Guidelines

Crack bridging-easily accommodates movements.

Breathable(Vapour permeable) membrane-no blistering.

Seamless/joint less monolithic membrane coating.

Easily applied over critical corners/dome shaped surfaces.

Highly impermeable-stretchable-fiber reinforced membrane.

Excellent bonding on all building substrates.
