• Washington is one of the fifty states of the United States located in the Northwest Region.

• He was named in tribute to the leader of U.S. forces in the War of Independence, U.S. 1776 and the first President of United States, George Washington.

•Bordered on the west by the Pacific Ocean, north to the Canadian province of British Columbia, east to Idaho and south to Oregon.

Not to be confused with the United States capital, Washington DC Thus, in United States, the State is called State of Washington.

Washington has a vastconiferous forest,

whichhave earned him thenickname of

EvergreenState.

• Washington is cut by several rivers and dotted by several lakes, creating a fertile ground for the installation of dams.

• Washington's economy, however, focuses mainly on tourism and aerospace.

• The largest aircraft manufacturer in the world, Boeing has its headquarters in Washington and several of its factories.

Much of the state is covered by forests, while on the other hand, much of the eastern part of the state is arid, and is rarely found in trees.

• Seattle is the largest city in Washington State, north-west of the United States of America. The city lies between Lake Washington and the bay known as Puget Sound, near the Pacific Ocean.

• Olympia is the capital city of the U.S. state of Washington. It was incorporated on January 28, 1859.

• Bellevue is a rapidly growing city in King County, Washington, United States, across Lake Washington from Seattle.

• Redmond is a city in King County, Washington, United States.

• Redmond has a historic downtown with many personally owned businesses which is connected to the modern downtown Redmond.

• The economy of Washington is mainly concentrated in the third sector.

• The state flag and the state seal are similar. Passed in 1923, Washington state law describes the flag as having dark green bunting with a state seal in the center. It is the only state flag that is green. It is also the only state flag with a picture of a president.
