I was recently informed by an orthopedist that I have a touch of arthritis in my left shoulder. I had been experiencing pain for about six months, and I was actually relieved that it was not something more serious. The told me to do a series of stretches to relieve the pressure on the joints. These are some basic techniques for stretching the shoulder muscles.

Stretches to relieve shoulder pain

•Find a 90 degree corner in a wall.

•Place either hand on the adjacent wall surfaces.

•Push your body forward to stretch the shoulder muscles.

•Move slowly as to avoid muscle injury.

•Repeat steps five to ten times daily.
