Studies of effective teachers have found a common trait:

They know how to help students believe that they can succeed.

They start with simple, achievable tasks and give quick, modest feedback/approval.

4

We’ve been “set up” for success

Everything! Everything that goes into a life of pleasing God has been miraculously given to us by getting to know, personally and intimately, the One who invited us to God. The best invitation we ever received! We were also given absolutely terrific promises to pass on to you—your tickets to participation in the life of God after you turned your back on a world corrupted by lust.

2 Peter 1:3-4 MSG6

Building on What You’ve Been GivenSo don’t lose a minute in building on what you’ve been given, complementing your basic faith with good character, spiritual understanding, alert discipline, passionate patience, reverent wonder, warm friendliness, and generous love, each dimension fitting into and developing the others.

With these qualities active and growing in your lives, no grass will grow under your feet, no day will pass without its reward as you mature in your experience of our Master Jesus. Without these qualities you can’t see what’s right before you, oblivious that your old sinful life has been wiped off the books.

2 Peter 1:7-9 MSG

Such Great Promises! -Tickets to our participation in the Life of God

• Are there promises by God

- From The Bible or given to you in other ways

- That you’ve leaned on in the past?

- That you’re leaning on now?

12

Some of my favorite promises....

• I will never leave you or forsake you (Heb 13:5, Deut 31:6, Josh 1:5)

• 6 being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ (Phil 1:6)

• I will never forget who you really are

13

A Important Truth

It is impossible for us to find and live out our “destiny”, our prophetic call, our dreams with God - in a way that is separate from our life in the Body of Jesus!
