OPERATING PRINCIPLEThe device non-destructively measures the material concentricity, always at the same predetermined locations, thus providing repeatable and reproducible results. The sample is simply inserted into the measurement cell that is equipped with four ultrasonic sensors and a universal preform fixture. The screen display will prompt the operator when to insert and remove the preform from the measurement cell. When activated, all of the sensors measure simultaneously and the results are instantly transmitted to your PC. Upon removal, the measurement results are displayed on the screen.

FEATURES● Simple operation● Measurement results in seconds● Measures up to 0.276 inch (7mm) thick preforms● Non-destructive test method● Accurate repeatable and reproducible results● RS232-connection● Compatible with Windows 7 and 8● Selectable units of measurement

Material concentricity is one of the most common and critical measurements performed on injection molded PET and PET/PEN preforms. Proper preform concentricity leads to good bottle quality thus reducing problems associated with poor thickness distribution, off-center gates, bottom rupture, and perpendicularity.
