Daily Routine

7:15-7:40• Students wait in the

hallway.• Sit quietly against the

wall outside your classroom waiting for your teacher.

• Always have a book to read, study spelling words, or study addition, subtraction, or multiplication facts.

7:40 Mrs. C. will let you into the class.

It’s your job to be at school on time. Getting a good night’s sleep makes it easier to wake up and get started.

In the classroom—morning responsibilities • Unpack back pack

• Make sure you have a chair at your desk.

• Have any papers you were asked to bring back in your daily folder to be collected.

• Take out your homework ready to check.

• Make lunch choice, and sharpen 2 pencils when your table is called.

Bell Work 7:50-8:15

As soon as morning announcements are over begin your “daily Math” and “daily Language” reviews. When you are finished you may read a self-selected book silently.

8:15-8:20 Restroom break(other restroom breaks: 10:20 & 12:45)

• You are expected to take your restroom break when the whole class goes to the restroom.

• You will only be allowed to leave the class for emergency situations.

Restroom Manners

• In the restroom, there is no playing at the sink or dryers. Someone can get hurt.

• Quietly take care of your business and return to our line. (One squirt of soap should be enough to wash hands.)

• While waiting your turn at the restroom and when finished in the restroom, you will sit quietly in a line—no hand games, no talking.

• If you have been acting inappropriately, you will receive a minus when we return to our classroom.

Success at

Recess 10:00 – 10:20

Behavior:-I always take turns on the equipment.-I will not climb on the outside of the slide or up the slide.-I will not play tag on the equipment.-I will go down the slide bottom first.-I will leave rocks on the ground. -I do not climb trees.

- I will not jump off equipment or swings. -I remember to stay away from fence line.-I am a friend to others and treat them with kindness and respect.

Lining up procedures:1st whistle: FREEZE2nd whistle: Walk up the sidewalk to your line.Take turns at the water fountain—quick drinks.Wait quietly in line while students take

restroom breaks.3rd line up in line order ready to enter the

school building.4th I will walk quietly down the kinder hallway.

Improper use of equipment or inappropriate behavior will result in a timeout during recess.

• Science and Social studies activities are integrated into this block through reading and writing activities.

12:02-12:32 LunchCafeteria expectations:

-stand in line quietly

-use polite manners with cafeteria staff and teachers.

-talk quietly to your neighbor beside or across from you.

-keep your food to yourself. Students are working on

memorizing their ID numbers for new lunch policy.

12:50- 1:15• Vocabulary

• Science and Social studies activities are integrated into this block through reading and writing activities.

10:15-11:00 Rotation

• Day 1-Music

• Day 2- P.E

• Day 3- Art

• Day 4-P.E

• Day 5-Computer

• Day 6- P.E

We walk to rotation without talking, with eagles wings, in a straight line.

2:05-2:35 SOAR/class meetings

• Tuesday-Thursday we will have SOAR reading or continue with our daily work.

• We will be having our class meetings on Fridays.

Dismissal• Stack chairs• Make sure everything is in

your back pack to go home.• Binders go home nightly.

(Homework information can be found in your planner. Don’t forget to have your parent to sign your planner.)

• Line up in order – buses, walkers, daycare, primetime, & parent pick-ups
