A before and after project. Before, a lot of acne was showing on this boys forehead. The lesson here was how to use the spot healing tool and perfecting its set-tings to creat a flawless after picture with photoshop.

Here, we learned how to add in furniture from an outside source and bring it into photoshop. For this class project we learned how to use the distort tool, magic wand, fx.. etc.

Can you find whats missing ?

This lesson was on inserting a floor pat-tern into your design in photoshop. The main tool in this lesson was the pen tool

We learned how to create a texture, for this ex-ample. we made stainless steel. after the tex-ture was made we applied it to a illustra-tor vectored sink as we would in photoshop.

This lesson was on creating patterns, defining them and tiling them. We later used this process for our floor plans and elevations.

above are tilled patterns created in photoshop to erase the seem so the image looks like its one. Once the pattern is tiled, we could use it in our floor plans for textures such as this couch, or the grass.

One of our funnest projects, was to add a head to an animals body of our choice. This involved learning to use a clipping mask and the difference between smart objects and rasterized layers.

to the left, we explored the filter gallery, where we were free to choose any and as many effects as we liked.

The same concept here, using illustrator effects to create 3-D logos, and then going even further to add in effects with photoshop as well.

While given an assignment to create logos in Adobe Illustrator, i played around with some effects like embevell and emboss to cre-ate these 3-D logos. With prior experience in photoshop from this class, i was able to add drop shadows to really give them a third dimmension.

Here, the same technique as the first project, al-though this time we could get a little more cre-ative and pull textures and images from the internet.

One of the first lessons in this class was how to add a tex-ture to an object in photoshop. Tools used here were the transform tool and mulitiplying layers to create this look.

L e f t -This is a Google SketchUp rendering of an eleva-tion. we were given the freedom to choose our floor plan, color scheme, and design. i really en-joyed this program and how easy it was to use.

Same Google SketchUp rendering but in a differ-ent view. These views in SketchUp are called “Scenes”.

A Collection of Art projects from first semester art classes at Acad-emy of Art, and before.

A hollow model of a wedding cake i designed in high school. This model is made of clay and has imprinted stamp designs of doves on the middle tier, and gel painted designs on the top and bottom to give it a third dimmension. A thin ribbon wrapped around the bottom of each tier gives it the finishing touch.

A picture of the olympic gymnast, Alicia Sac-ramone. The picture was taken for an issue in Sports Illustrated. This is a very inspir-ing photo to me since i was also a gymnast.

As i was inspired by the original picture of Ali-cia Sacramone, i decided to recreate it in a pencil sketch. After i drew the picture, i add-ed it to photoshop to give it this cool water-color effect to make it more interesting.

A pair of hand made foe feather earings with small ceram-ic skull beads hanging from the hook. I added a small leath-er strand to each ear piece to make them more interesting.

One of my first drawings- a tattoo design of a cross with a banner running across. drawn when i was in high school. I really like this draw-ing because i spent a lot of time scaling this from a reference photo to a large drawing.

This was my first picture drawn with graph-ite and ebony. i was very very impressed with this when i drew it in high school be-casue it was my first free hand drawing.

Another one of my first draw-ings using just a simple mechani-cal pencil and a ruler, i used the grid method for this drawing.

An illustration of a stuffed animal bunny. For this drawing i used Prisma Color Markers and then used Photoshop to get rid of the im-perfections on the background. to get a nice, clean picture.

A blind conture drawing from my first semester Fashion Illustration class. For this compostion i used news paper and watercolor for the pattern and then glued the cut out contures to a white background. I then made it 3-D by lifting each at a different height off the back board.

This was another 3-D model i created for an advertis-ing class. It is a spiining wind chime representing a cut wa-termelon, that as it spins, spells out, “Purity Organic”.

L e f t -

My first charcoal drawing for Fashion Illistration of a scarf on a fan. Compositionally, i left out the fan blades and metal wired guard to keep out distraction.

R i g h t -

Another Fashion Illustration of a towel. This one is of graphite pencil.

One of my favorite drawings, to the right, is of a man sleeping in the Amtrak station. This drawing is a 2-point perspective and colored with grayscale Prisma Color markers. Also i added this picture to photoshop and added some cool effects to it to soften it up and give it a nice style and a strong focal point.

My first watercolor painting i did for my Conceptu-al Design class in my first semester. Fashion Illus-tration was verry helpfull in drawing the figure.
