Betty Munro and the Blue Majestiks - Tales from the Blue

A full length Album recorded and produced at Project S2di0. The album featured 9 Jazz standards

arranged by Tomas Zeman. The Project was independently funded by Betty Munro recordings andindependently released. 300 physical copies of the Album were pressed and sold, the album wasalso released in a digital format via online retailers.

Build Destroy Rebuild

Build Destroy Rebuild was a collaborationbetween Is Creative and Project S2di0. Theproject featured a 4 part mini documentaryseries based on the concept of creative re-useand recycling. The project also featured an 11 trackMusical soundtrack also based on the theme ofcreative re-use, using vinyl recordings to create new music.The project excelled in Innovation and creativity, yet lackedcommercial success, most defiantly an important building block. The projectwas compiled on a website in which you can view the documentary anddownload the sound track.

Fuku Recording Sessions

Fuku........Recording sessions began 30thDecemember 2011, a collective of some of

the finest musicians in Nottingham.During one evening we managed torecord a piece of music which was tochangethe way we all thought aboutmusic, it certainly changed my pespectiveon Music.

These rare yet unique Fuku sessionsstill continue today, with a number ofsongs recorded, remixes created andconcepts being conjured, highlyanticipated new music will be availablesoon destined to change the face ofsound..... The track we created on the30th of December 2o11 has recentlybeen remixed by Jay Rational in ahouse form, featuring vocals fromMarita.....Very Exciting.....

AistaGuca Recording

SessionsOff the back of the originalFuku recording session,Project S2di0 impressedsome of the new musiciansusing the facility, Particularly

Robin Hevness who is one ofToms old music tutor atClarendon College. Shortlyrecording sessions werearranged for Robin to bringhis band to record a 6 trackEP at the studio.

AistaGuca are a 9 piece horn band, based in Nottingham, They do a monthlyPerformance at the Horn in Hand on Derby Road, a truly great live act.Great feedback was received from the band, in regards to the mixing andmastering of the project, it proved worthwhile experience for all partiesinvolved.

Cookie Jar short film/Music video

The beginning of 2012inspired a new wave ofMusic. A CollaborativeProject Began betweenProject S2di0 and Allergicfilms, Film maker GuyJenkins. We decided to work on a short film, from the start we had little idea

of concept or music for the video, only some storyboard sketches and somemusical loops. Soon after some photography sessions, recording sessionsand brainstorming we arrived at a concept.

Studio Expansion 2012

New Installations, New Live Room,New Audio Equiptment Rack, NewPeople and Volunteers New MusicalInstruments, New Space, Newpossibilities and Capabilities.

During May 2012 we decided it was time toup our game, the expansion wasindependently funded by ourselves. Weadvertised for volunteering opportunitiesin the NCVS V-database, which advertiseslocal volunteering opportunities. Fromthese adverts we received an overwhelming

response from the local community, in theend we took on 25 volunteers over aperiod of 8 weeks to help us renovate the studio project.

The volunteering Project proved to be oneof the most challenging, in terms oforganising sessions yet one of the mostsuccessful projects of the year. Thenature of volunteering can be veryinconsistent, due to the fact it is notpaid work, and people have otherpriorities, commitments and lifes to live.We plan to work on developing regularDrop - in sessions, for Musicians,Engineers and volunteers and runthese on a weekly basis.

This will provide consistency andan opportunities for volunteersto have flexiablity to come and

contribute when they are happyto do so.... The regularity willensure a real difference andprogression is being made. Wehave seen people in the past,who have volunteered at ourproject to go on to secureemployment with established

organisations such as the YMCA,this is a promising beginning.........

Finally we have developed our Studio Website which includes all of the pastand present projects we have engaged ourselves in. The website was designedby Adodo Communications Ltd. Many thanks to them.

Pop Up Nottingham ReclamationEvent

In July 2012 we collaborated with Pop UpNottingham for an event which featuredMusic, Art, Photography and Crafts.This was the first of a series of events tocome............

Our role within the event was to arrange

the musicians and musical performancesand also to organise the Live sound. We also screened a finished version ofthe Cookie Jar Music Video for the first time

New Member of Team

Tanaka Samuel - Tanaka has brought anew sea of life to the studio. Himself

and Kareem, long standing member ofthe studio project, Forming a collectiveof musicians and Rap Artists, whocollectively go under the Name M.I.L

As well as M.I.L being a musicalCollective, M.I.L will also function as aRecord Label, giving dedicated Artists andMusicians who use the Studio Facility anopportunity to release their music. TheLabel is very focussed on Marketing Artists

on the Internet, Via Blogs, Internet Forums and Radio Stations. This is a new excitingdevelopment within our Project, expect to hear and see the good word being spread.

Weya Week/MouthyPoets - The Third FloorProject

World Event Young Artists week......

We were involved in the WEYA week viathe Mouthy Poets. The Mouthy Poetsare a community group who share thesame ethics as project s2di0. MouthyPoets is run by Deborah Stevenson,

who is an extraordinary person!!

The project which was concieved withmouthy poets was post - two weeks ofdaily workshops, for which participantwould engaging in creating and

perfecting a poem , which was then tobe recorded with a live band andperformed in the market square.

We spent two days in the studio with agroup of 10 poets who all individuallyrecorded a poem with the band whichwas lead by Sky Siliya, a regularmusician at project S2di0, a dedicatedmember and contributer to the project.

The project was engineered by Seniorengineer and Management team memberat project S2di0, Kareem Palmer, who hadvolunteer Mcbesie on hand to assist with

the sound..

The studio sessions and the entireproject was filmed and documented

by Ioney Smallhorne of Is Creative Media, the results of here documentarymaking can be found on the

Guitarist Henry Juma Featured on the Guitar andTom harris featured on the project as a drummer.All mixing and mastering was done at projects2di0, the turnaround for the manufacturingdeadline was extremely quick as in a matter ofdays, the deadline was met and the results where great.
