Sea View Properties in Croatia - Kornati archipelago

The Island of Murter The island of Murter is located on the central Dalmatian coast and is part of the archipelago of Kornati that belongs to the National Park of Kornati. It has a surface of 17,58 km2 and a coast line of 42,605 km. The island is separated from the mainland by narrow sea canal at Tisno which is spanned by a 12 meter draw-bridge that connects Murter directly with the Adriatic tourist road. The closest city is Šibenik - 29 km, while the distance from the motorway is 17 km. There are two international airports in the area: Zadar airport (35 km) and Split airport (45 km).

Located at the entrance to the Kornati Islands, Murter is an attractive spot for yachtsmen, and all lovers of quiet relaxation. . The island offers four marinas, nice and quiet beaches, numerous restaurants and taverns. There are many sports courts (tennis, basketball, five-a-side football), water sports are also an option. During the summer, there are various sports events, preceded by the April regatta Murter - Kornati as an introduction to the season. Except the town of Murter, the biggest and oldest settlement, there are three other settlements on the island: Betina, Jezera and Tisno.

Šibenik-Knin County Šibenik-Knin County, located in central Dalmatia, was named

after its two largest towns, one at the source and the other at the confluence of the Krka River.The County has two national parks, Kornati and Krka, thought by many to be the most precious natural jewels of the whole Dalmatia. The Kornati archipelago consists of 140 uninhabited islands, isles and reefs with a total area of only 70 m2. They are famous for the peculiar shapes of reefs and crags, and particularly for their high cliffs. The city of Šibenik is the county's administrative centre.
