applications such as Siebel, E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft, and JD

Edwards.

• Configurations include metadata, profile,security,users etc. . This tool is used

to create configuration bundles which can be exported from source instance

and imported to target instance.

Select Configuration Templates from Option and Select ‘Create New Template’ from the drop down and select ‘Add Dependency’

Select ‘Save’ and provide the name of the configuration

Select the template saved in the previous step and select the action as Export

Importing the bundle in Target environment

Browse and upload the bundle downloaded in the previous step .

After the upload the bundle gets listed .Preview to check if all the configurations were uploaded.

On the import preview page , select the option to import the configuration as well.

Migrate Content

Content migration is done through Archiving

process. Archives are created out of the content

to be exported at source instance and imported

at target instance

Archiver - A Java applet for transferring and

reorganizing Oracle Content Server files and

information. Archiver is used with the migration

utility to migrate a complete Oracle Content

Server instance, including content, from one

system to another.

Enable Folder Migration Archive in source and target

instance

Create Collections

Export the Collection as batch

Import the collection at the Target instance.

• Enable Folder Archive Configuration on both target and Source servers

Navigate to Admin Server->Component Manager->Advanced

Component manager . Enable the FolderStructureArchive

Select the archive name and content from Folder Structure Archive

Admin Applets -Archiver – This will open a Java Applet with option to select the archive and export the bundle.

Verify the batch by verifying the content

Download the Archive from the Backup And Restore link.

Upload the Archive in the target instance

From Site Studio->Back up and Restore – Select the file and click on the ‘upload Archive’ button.

Import Mapping to copy the content to the intended folder
