4 Challenges 4 Leadership
Competencies 4 Projects
With 70% of our population under the age of 30, creating opportunities for our youth is one of
most pressing challenges, and is the overriding motivation of everything that we do. Because the
youth are the catalysts for real change.”

About AIESEC
Present in over 110 countries and territories and with over 60,000 members, AIESEC is the world’s largest student-run organization. Focused on providing a platform for youth leadership development, AIESEC offers young people the opportunity to be global citizens, to change the world, and to get experience and skills that matter today.
The expansion of AIESEC Jordan started back in 2006 when 4 people, as a startup team, established the organization with the support of AIESEC International and our Supervisory Group.
Since then we have marked the achievements of over 100 internships delivered, hundreds of Jordanian members going through our integrated development experience and dozens of successful events and partnerships. We keep working towards providing unique opportunities for our stakeholders to engage
Background about the Ambassadors Program
The challenge
As young people in the MENA region, our responsibility to contribute to solving our worlds’ challenges grows each and every day. It is our role to lead positively and responsibly to create both social and economic reform.
As a socially-responsible NGO, with over 60 years of experience globally and 5 of experience in Jordan, we find ourselves as capable leaders to leave an impact on the Jordanian society.
The concept With our new mission to define how leadership development should be approached in Jordan and in the region, we discovered that in order to make our impact truly sustainable and on the national level, we would need to look beyond our scope as an organization. We would need to encourage others, outside of AIESC to create their own impact and decide for themselves, how change should be created in their society. This is how the concept of a truly national program was born. A program that creates ambassadors for leadership and enables them to design and lead their own issue-based projects.
The program
The National Ambassadors Program aims to identify the 4 main challenges that the Jordanian people, corporate sector, and government will face by 2020. After identifying these, we can extract 4 main leadership competencies needed in the next generation of leaders, to overcome the challenges.
Then by transforming each leadership competency into an issue-based project, to be run by young people outside of the AIESEC organization, we can generate the solutions needed to conquer the challenges of 2020.
