“The best thing about memories is making them”

On 6th April, 2019 the LIBA alumni residing at Bangalore met at the Catholic Club, to make great memories reminiscing over their days and times spent on the campus of LIBA. The already breezy evening, in an ambience which was beautiful, saw more than 45 alumni get together to swap stories, share their excitement and enthusiastically catch up with all the latest, happening in their lives and that of the Alma Mater. After greeting each other with hugs and handshakes the formal proceedings began with a Prayer Song by Ms. Rhea Locker and Mr. Mario Monteiro, followed by LIBA Director - Fr. Christie addressing the large gathering of Alumni.

Prof. Dr. Vandana Zachariah – Chairperson of the Alumni Association, was happy with the turnout of a number of Alumni from across batches. An ice breaker session was conducted by Ms. Monisha Aluvilla and Mr. Edward Paul to connect the various batches present. Among the various topics discussed, the participants came forward to document the different areas where they could possibly contribute/support their Alma Mater, some of which were: Placement Process, Curriculum Inputs, Brand & Content Services, Alumni Portal Engagement & Maximization etc. Nominations were then invited for change of Executive Committee members, but it was decided to continue with the current set of office bearers with two core committee members being replaced and one more added.

The formal program ended with Prof. Dr. Vandana Zachariah proposing a vote of thanks followed by dinner with more catching-up and photo sessions. Everyone present agreed that they had a fabulous evening for surely great memories are built on such happy times as these!
