Adding pictures in our site

How do we mesure a picture?

Pixel

• In digital imaging, a pixel, pel, or picture element is a physical point in a raster image, or the smallest addressable element in an all points addressable display device;

• so it is the smallest controllable element of a picture represented on the screen.

PNG

• PNG files are lossless, which means that they do not lose quality during editing

• PNG files tend to be larger than jpegs

Which one should I use?

• For most ecommerce situations - JPEGs will be your best bet. They provide the best quality and the smallest file size.

• Never use GIFs for large product images. The file size will be very large and there is no good way to reduce it. Use GIFs for thumbnails and decorative images.

• PNGs can be a good alternative to both JPEGs and GIFS. If you are only able to get product photos in PNG format, try using PNG-8 over PNG-24. PNGs excel at simple decorative images because of their extremely small file size.

To customize the video’s size and settings, use a shortcode. You can do this by copying the video URL:

Then create a shortcode using the format below. Be sure to replace the URL listed here with the URL of your video, and the code is on a line by itself.

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JaNH56Vpg-A]Video Customization OptionsYou can specify the width and height of the embedded video byadding &w=... or &w=...&h=...to the shortcode. It will automatically adapt to your theme’s content length and give you preferred dimensions.You can disable related videos by appending &rel=0.For example, this shortcode:[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JaNH56Vpg-A&w=640&h=385]
