Green fields unfold as far as the eye can see. Epping Forest lies just beyond. The undeniable charm of a medieval market town beckons, just moments away. Welcome to Arboretum.

Arboretum: Epping’s newest community
Radiating out from a formally landscaped central square, Arboretum is a new community of 149 cosmopolitan apartments and spacious 3, 4 & 5 bedroom houses just moments from Epping village.
Arboretum boasts a fantastic range of homes for every lifestyle. For city-style living choose from three different apartment styles, each with its own en suite and balcony or patio. If you’re looking for a more sizeable footprint, Arboretum boasts eleven house designs, each very different in style, aesthetic and material. All interiors have been designed with the same attention to detail, with high specification appliances alongside outstanding finishes and layouts maximising light and space. Take a stroll around the delightful winding streets adorned with plentiful trees, and you’ll see just how diverse the community is. Arboretum has an enviable location on the edge of green fields and wide open space, and just minutes from Epping’s delightful high street and excellent connections.

Epping: In the market for fresh produce
Lining the high street is a delightful selection of shops, cafes and boutiques, many housed within stunning buildings dating back to the 18th century. The historical weekly market also helps to set the tone in Epping, where you can find a wonderful sense of community and heritage in amongst the stalls.

Countryside: Breathe in the fresh air & walk upon a carpet of daisies
Epping is surrounded by the most delightful countryside and open spaces, with a short drive or even a stroll leading you to some of the country’s most remarkable ancient woodland.
EPPING FOREST
Once dubbed ‘The People’s Forest’ by Queen Victoria herself, this area of ancient woodland has been inspiring visitors for centuries. Nearly 6,000 acres are home to a huge diversity of flora and fauna, though Epping Forest is most widely renowned for its ancient pollarded trees and fallow deer. Follow one of the many walking trails to truly immerse yourself in the beautiful surrounds – we recommend the Beech trail which has some steep inclines but is remarkable in the Autumn.
RIVER STORT
Meandering for 14 miles between Hoddesdon in the South and Bishop’s Stortford in the North, the River Stort is a tributary of the River Lee. This delightful stretch remains untouched by human intervention. Follow its course and enjoy wildflowers and watermills.
HUNSDON MEAD
This 68 acre flood meadow is ideal for a stroll in all seasons, with superb displays of flowering plants particularly during the spring and summer months. Yellow is the colour in April and May with cowslips and marigolds, and this is arguably when Hunsdon Mead is at its most stunning. Winter holds its own delights though, when the mead floods and large flocks of lapwings and golden plover come to visit.
LEE VALLEY
At a staggering 10,000 acres across North East London, Essex and Hertfordshire, Lee Valley offers a respite from the daily grind, however you might seek it. White water rafting satisfies high octane thrill seekers, while heritage sites and nature reserves offer something a little more sedate. The Olympics even left its lasting legacy at Lee Valley, which now boasts world-class hockey, tennis and cycling venues.

EPPING ST JOHNS SCHOOL
Epping St Johns proudly opened the doors of its new state-of-the-art building in Autumn 2013. Just moments from Arboretum, the school’s impressive new premises matches impressive OFSTED results. Epping St Johns currently teaches pupils from 11 to 16, but aims to provide Sixth Form education from 2015.
EPPING PRIMARY SCHOOL
This mixed community school caters for children from 4 to 11 years through Foundation stage, Key Stage One and Key Stage Two. Extra-curricular activities include drama, cookery, music and sports clubs.
IVY CHIMNEYS PRIMARY SCHOOL
Ivy Chimneys operates a policy of mixed age classes, allowing children to gain experience of interacting with those both older and younger than themselves in the classroom. Classes are kept small due to a relatively limited intake each year.
BANCROFT’S SCHOOL
An independent coeducational school for pupils aged 7-18. This Preparatory school has access to specialist teaching facilities and provides academic excellence combined with a wide range of extracurricular opportunities and strong pastoral support.
COOPERSALE HALL SCHOOL
A private independent preparatory and primary school teaching children from 2½, and set in a mansion house surrounded by 7 acres of grounds. Coopersale offers a multi-media unit, and extensive extra-curricular activities.
THEYDON BOIS PRIMARY SCHOOL
Theydon Bois Primary is a community school, attended by pupils aged between 4 and 11. The school aims to create an atmosphere where children feel happy and secure in order to achieve the highest possible standard of education.
CHIGWELL SCHOOL
Chigwell School is an independent school offering a supportive, stable and traditional environment for pupils between the ages of 4-18. With a campus of 100 acres Chigwell School is still medium sized in terms of overall pupil numbers in order to give each child the attention they deserve.
Education: In the most scenic of settings
Arboretum and its surrounds are ideal for education, with a selection of excellent local schools teaching pupils during their formative years from 2½, right up to those contemplating further education or the world of work.
