• Yup. It’s straight forward advertising.• Yup. It gained lots of buzz through traditional

media.• Nope. Twitter didn’t exist yet.

…wait, Twitter isn’t everything!?

• Gaining meaningful, positive attention requires integrated mediums, creativity, pithiness, AND…

a receptive audience.

• Linking digital marketing to in person events• Refraining from offensive and lewd remarks

• Excessive tagging just to make sure your information pops in others news feed.

It’s probably impractical on the internet.

SO WHAT IS IMPACTFUL SOCIAL MEDIA?

Things to look for

• You have created FANATICS– Customer’s promote you by WOM and through

social media channels

• Sales have increased– You are able to trace your leads to specific efforts

of your social media strategy

• So much engagement you can’t manage it alone
