Navigate to the website of the ov-chipcard (click here).

Click on “Apply” to proceed.

Choose between a personal or anonymous ov-chipcard

In this guidance document we focus on the personal ov-chipcard. Click “Apply” to proceed.

Fill in the required fields and click “Next step” to proceed.

Fill in who will be travelling with the ov-chipcard and the person’s name and date of birth, etc. When you’re done, click “Next step” to proceed.

Add a picture by clicking “browse”.

Make sure your picture meets the requirements stated on the page and follow the steps. Click “Next step” to proceed.

Fill in the fields and click “Next step” to proceed.

Fill in your postal code and house number, then click on “Search address”. When you’re done typing in your information, click “Next step” at the bottom of the page.

Choose wether you your card to automatically recharge funds or not.

In this guidance document we focus on manual recharge, so click “No” and then “Next step”.

Review the information you gave.

If everything is in order, agree to the terms and conditions by ticking the checkbox and click “Next step”. If something is not correct, click “Previous step”.

Click “Payment” to be referred to your online banking programme (iDeal).
