DESCRIPTION

Presentation by Peter Baddeley @baddaz at SharePoint Saturday Stockholm 2014 SharePoint Online and Office 365 are meant to be simple, you can just sign up with your credit card. Many people forget that there are many decisions which need to be made before that sign up. Many of these decisions are the same you need make for every implementation of SharePoint, others are uniquely related to SharePoint Online. This session calls on various project examples to explain to business users that signing up to SharePoint Online requires a lot of pre-planning. It will emphasise the importance of understanding your requirements and defining the solution. Some of the specific consideration for online will discussed, including thinking about the different plans, administration, user access, and wider technical considerations. Finally this session will challenge you to prove SharePoint Online is the right platform, and explain that piloting/trailing it is crucial.
