The evidence1. Only one third of employees are engaged at work in the UK

2. The UK is ranked 9th out of 12 of the largest economies

3. Output per worker is 20% lower than the rest of G7 countries in 2011

4. Companies with high (65%) engagement return profits 22% higher than average

5. Companies with low (45%) engagement return profits 25% lower than average

6. Engaged employees take on average 2.69 sick days

7. Dis-engaged employees take on average 6.19 sick days

8. Companies with high engagement show staff turnover 40% lower than Companies with low levels of engagement

You have to feel psychologically well and motivated to be engaged
