CASE STUDY
International oilfield services company, Expro, has exhibited
at SPE Offshore Europe (OE) since the 1970s and believes
it is a crucial event for generating both brand awareness
and sales.
The well flow management specialist also sees value in the
networking opportunities, technical presentations and market
intelligence gained from the event.
From a trade show perspective, we incorporated a
range of technical presentations to address the current
market environment as well as a client networking
reception. We also supported the new School’s
Programme; sponsoring, volunteering and hosting
pupils at our stand where they had the opportunity to
speak with our experts.
Expro undertakes a comprehensive communications campaign ahead
of and during the show which incorporates marketing, press
engagement, and digital media, including seeking coverage in the
show daily and advertising on the OE website.
The company also uses its presence on the trade show floor to meet
with key journalists and media contacts. In 2015, media coverage
from the event equated to approximately to £120,000 of equivalent
advertising value from news and features published during OE, and
£240,000 of content weighted editorial value.
In terms of sales, the company is progressing a number of leads
generated at the show and in 2015, implemented a new process for
managing leads which tracks them live via a CRM system.
Last year we experienced an increase in the quality of
attendees – particularly those with a clear goal in mind.
This leads to more meaningful conversations, whether
that’s an opportunity to discuss our products, a specific
technical challenge we can provide solutions for, or a
project we can collaborate on in future.
As a UK headquartered company that has grown
globally, OE remains one of our key global trade shows
in the calendar. The event offers a range of
opportunities and provides companies with the platform
to raise their profile in the industry and generate
business with new and existing clients.
