Need For Scaffolding Safety Safety in scaffolding is of paramount

importance since the lives of workers

and other people are always at stake.

Safety precautions must be taken and

applied so that risks are eliminated and

no accidents take place.

DO’s - Scaffolding Safety

•Only trained and competent persons be

allowed on scaffoldings

•Wear a helmet/hard hat at all times

•Shoes must be sturdy and of non-slip type

•Must maintain a fall arrest system

•Watch out for people up above and below

•Always move slowly and steadily

DON’Ts - Scaffolding Safety

•Never ever take any chance with safety

•Never go beyond the load capacity

•Never keep debris/unwanted items on the

scaffolding

•Do not hit a scaffolding with heavy objects

or vehicles

•Do not ever allow anyone to get on a

scaffolding during strong winds/storms
