Salmo 118:1-2, 16-17, 22-24 Colosenses 3:1-4 o 1Corintios 5:6b-8
Juan 20:1-9
Our gospel speaks of Mary Magdalene going to the
tomb and finding the stone moved away. She has
seen a sign of the resurrection. No one witnesses the
actual resurrection. We are all asleep when it hap-
pens. But we all perceive signs of it in the scrip-
tures, the church, our world, our lives.
When Mary sees the stone rolled away, she immedi-
ately goes to seek out Peter to share the news. Then
Peter and the beloved disciple come to view for
themselves. They go into the tomb and see the wind-
ing sheets, which are simply another sign. At this
point the beloved disciple believes. And they go
forth to tell others.
This is how the resurrection blossoms. No one sees
it first hand. Yet we all behold the evidence: in the
arrival of spring, in the testimony of scripture, in the
stories of the new Christians who were born this
night, in the healing we have experienced in our
lives.
But if we leave the resurrection there in the event it
is incomplete. Every resurrection narrative includes
a going forth to tell the good news. So it was then;
so it is now. We must tell the story of the victory of
life over death. We can tell it as our story, as the
story of others in our community, as the story of our
church, which does everything possible to kill itself
yet keeps being resurrected. But tell it we must, or
we are left as we might be at the end of this gospel
with an empty tomb, burial wrappings on the
ground, and a failure to understand the scripture
that Christ must rise from the dead. Can we really
say we understand this scripture if we fail to pro-
claim it from the rooftops?

An Act of Spiritual Communion
My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.
Nunca
permitas que me separe de ti. Amén.
These are critical times for us all and we must intensify our fight against the spread of COVID-19 by following instructions to keep everyone save and health. This is not a call to frighten us or make us foolish, but a call for a deeper trust in God and pray to Him. Know that the virus is air born. We will not encourage parishion-ers to come to parking lot and stay in their cars it is very risky. So stay at home and follow from your par-ish facebook site at the time we have indicated we will have Mass. During Communion for those who are at home we will participate in the Spiritual Communion. But if anyone is sick and needs the sacrament or com-munion or confession pleases call Fr. Henry on 9806166676. Please stay at home because we need you all alive and healthy after we would have won this war against the virus. Thanks for your understanding and cooperation. Rest assure of my daily prayers for you.
Fr. Henry Tutuwan
