Step 1Your Heart

Take Action• Use a fresh perspective to look at your home

and the message it sends. Does peace reign there? What obstacles do you face?

• Do a search for peaceful verses. Display them in the areas of your home where you often find yourself feeling uptight.

• Write out a list of peaceful activities that will help you change gears when you feel strife boiling to the surface.

Step 2Your Morning

She gets up while it is still dark;she provides food for her familyand portions for her servant girls.~Proverbs 31:15

Take Action• Every morning make a list with goals for

the day.

• Don't overdo your goal list! Be reasonable about what you can accomplish.

• Make sure you are planning in a few family activities that promote peace in your home.

Step 3Your Schedule

Take Action• Begin creating a family schedule that factors in

wiggle room.

• Practice your reactions to things not going as you planned.

• Try your newly created schedule for a few days and tweak as needed.

Step 4Your Meals

1.Plan & Prepare.

2.Learn how to orchestrate a meal.

3.Make Meal Time fun!

4.Expect mishaps.

Take Action• Make a meal plan.

• Plan some fun meal time activities.

• Set a towel by your chair, just in case!

Step 5Your Style

Take Action• Grab a copy of the Brainstorming Beauty

Worksheet from RaisingArrows.net & work through your entire home.

• Consider your entire family's tastes and interests when thinking about decorating your home.

• Avoid clutter!

Step 6Your Home

Create a schedule that works for you.

Declutter.

Create an “atmosphere” & “ambience” with things that mean something to your family.

Smile!

Show hospitality.

Gather for Family Worship & enjoy it!

Take Action• Spend time reading through Scripture that

speaks to homelife and homemaking.

• Make a list of families you enjoy visiting in their homes and brainstorm what it is about their homes that makes them feel peaceful.

• Make a list of ways you can show hospitality to your own family and to others.

Step 7Your Family Life

Behold, children are a heritage fromthe LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward.

Like arrows in the hand of a warriorare the children of one's youth.

Blessed is the man who fills his quiverwith them!

He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate.~Psalm 127: 3-5

How do you begin to see your family as blessings?

• Be in the Word.

• Be forgiving.

• Be joyful.

• Be aware.

• Be thankful.

Take Action• Start a Blessings Journal and record all

those things you've been missing and thank the Lord for those things.

• Tell your husband and children they are a blessing to you.

• Tell others what a blessing your husband and children are to you.

Step 8Your Evening

Have a set time to put away schoolwork.

Do a quick Tidy Up.

Greet Daddy at the door.

Enjoy your evening meal.

Slow down your evening activities.

Family worship.

Take Action• Come up with a doable time to end your day

and be diligent to meet that deadline.

• Work on being excited and in turn, teaching your children to be excited to have Daddy home.

• Come up with a list of slower pursuits your family could enjoy in the evenings and post it where your family can see it and make choices from it.

Step 9Your Marriage

Make eye contact.

Create traditions as a couple.

Go to bed together.

Don’t say no.

Take Action• Create a bedtime routine for your children

and yourself.

• Brainstorm couple ideas for your evenings with your husband.

• Learn to say YES! Or how about being the one to ask?

Step 10Your Relationship

with the Lord
