Gunas: Depending on the predominance of Guna in one’s personality, the broad approach would be: Using stick with respect to T (Tamas).

Using carrot with respect to R (Rajas) And with respect to S (Sattwa), one should resort to positive feedback, recognition, appreciation and an ambience for creative satisfaction.

Work Move from ego-centric work (‘narrow self-

interest’) to socio-centric work (‘enlightened self-interest’ or ‘Lokasamgraha’ – working for the organisation/institution/ society) and finally to Cosmo-centric work (work for cosmic balance, world welfare and sustenance).

Motivation based on ‘Swadharma’, a term used here in a specific and limited sense, i.e. ensuring a perfect `fit’ or match between one’s aptitude or natural inclination and the requirements of the job of the person such that the work becomes spontaneous.

Psychological Energy Conservation Reactionless Action Perfection is the Aim-- to handle both success &

failure Inner Autonomy/ Sufficiency Being in the world, but not of it Work-commitment Mind enrichment

making our living possible

“Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul. Worry, fear, self-distrustbows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust.Whether sixty or sixteen, there is in every humanbeing’s heart the lure of wonder, the unfailing childlikeappetite of what’s next, and the joy of the game ofliving.

In the center of your heart and my heart there is a wirelessstation; so long as it receives message of beauty, hope,

cheer, courage and power from men and from the Infinite, so long

areyou young…”

There are those who give little of the much which they have And they give it for recognition And their hidden desire makes their gifts unwholesome. And there are those who have little and give it all. There are those who give with joy, and that joy is their reward. And there are those who give with pain, and that pain is their

baptism. And there are those who give and know not pain in giving, Nor do they seek joy, nor give with mindfulness of virtue; It is well to give when asked, but it is better to give unasked, Through understanding; You often say, "I would give, but only to the deserving" --The trees in your orchard say not so, nor the flocks in your

pasture --They give that they may live, for to withhold is to perish.See first that you yourself deserve to be a giver, and an

instrument of giving.
