Corticium أوThelephora بسبب إمتالكهما بازيديا مقسمة(septate basidia) مماثلة لتلك الموجودة
. تخضع أنواع الجنس لدراسات تحليلية على مستوى الحامض Tremella البازيدي في أفراد الجنس
