We would like to thank everyone who took time out

of their busy warm summer to donate food for St.

Mark’s Food Pantry. We didn’t meet the goal of

the entire back of our truck, but we were able to fill

half. When we delivered, there was another hour

left of open panty hours and they were so grateful

because a lot of people had been in that evening.

Please don’t forget to donate food through-

out the year and if shopping isn’t your thing,

you can donate money through All Saint’s.

Just put “St. Mark’s Food Pantry” in the

memo line!

Thank you to everyone who battled the heat and humidity to watch the Mallards beat the Wood-

chucks July 15th. Special thanks to the Schoohs family for promoting the event and coordinating

the tailgate and the Gramse and Schoohs families for the tailgate setup and grilling expertise as well

as all the families that came out to take part in this event. Hope to see you next year!

It’s been said before and I’ll say it again, we truly couldn’t pull off Vacation Bible School without our

fantastic volunteers! We had 26 kiddos attend the program this year! Way to go, everybody!

HELPER S NEEDED FOR ST . MARK ’ S FR IDAY MEAL , AUG . 3RD

“To Know, Follow, and Share Jesus”

LOOKING FOR ADD I T IONAL SERV ICE TEAM MEMBER S !

All Saints is looking for new people/families to join their Sunday morning service teams! We have ten teams that support the Classic and New Song services. They would love to have some new faces join them in as-

sisting with various roles during the service.

Service Teams are responsible for handing out bulletins, passing offering trays and Hand of Friendship fold-ers, assisting with communion, facilitating the readings, and cleaning the sanctuary, sacristy and Fellowship

Hall after the services.

If you’ve been looking for a way to get involved in Sunday morning worship joining a Service Team is a great first step! You do not need to be a member of All Saints to join a Service Team, no experience is necessary

and training will be provided. For more information, please contact the church office at:

[email protected], or call (608) 276-7729.

SCHOOL K I T CHAMP ION NEEDED !

Do you love supporting the LWR School

Kit campaign each year? If so, this pro-

ject is looking for a champion! This per-

son (or small team) will review the sup-

plies left over from last year and will

work with the church office to advertise

the supplies needed, usually in mid-July.

Next, a drop-off station will be created.

Then, a date in September will be cho-

sen to stuff the school kits. Next comes

advertising this date and advertising the

need for help. After stuffing the kits, the last step in this project is putting the kits in boxes and pre-

paring them for loading on boxcars in October. Super easy, and super fun! Preparing school kits for

LWR is an easy yet impactful project which requires minimal time to complete and is very fun to do

with kids. Please contact the church office to find out how you can become the champion for this

event!

Every Friday people from a variety of backgrounds and circumstances eat a free noon meal in the base-ment of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. Four times a year, All Saints provides the manpower to support this

program. Volunteers help prepare and serve the meal in addition to providing assistance with clean-up.

Our next date to serve will be Friday, August 3rd. Helpers are needed for all or part of the shift from 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Mark your calendar and consider sharing your time with this ministry to the com-

munity. Please contact Denny Olin ([email protected]) or call 277-8430 to sign up. Thank you!

CHURCH SUMMER O F F I CE HOUR S

Worship times are slightly changed for the duration of the summer sea-son. Classic service will continue to be at 8:30 a.m. New Song will begin at 10:00 a.m. You are invited for coffee each week in Fellowship Hall from 9:30-9:55 a.m. Our normal worship schedule will resume on kickoff Sunday, September 9th.

We will have one combined service (9:00 a.m.) each month on the fol-lowing dates: August 5 and September 2. Combining both services into one allows our membership the opportunity to worship as a congrega-tion!

The annual information session for all Sunday School teachers is Tuesday, August 14th from 6:30-7:30 in Fellowship Hall. At this meeting we will dis-cuss classrooms and curriculum, review the Parish Protection Plan and fill out paperwork for background checks. Haven’t taught before, but interested in learning more? Feel free to join us! We are always looking for more teachers. We supply easy to follow lessons and crafts and you supply the love and commitment. Please contact Heather Quartaro or Jen Barakat with

questions.

In the Community. . .

On Sunday, June 24th, Pastor Mary Pharmer led our worship service. During her sermon she spoke of her experience working at Annunciation House along the U.S. border in El Paso, Texas. During her time in Texas, she assisted with welcoming and caring for people who entered the United States… cooking and cleaning as well as listening and supporting. She will be giving a presentation about

this experience in more detail the following dates and times:
