Name of the filter condition
Operator, for example, '='
Parameter(s)
1. From the NetAct Monitor Tools menu, select Monitoring Desktop > Alarm Filter Explorer.

4. Edit a filter condition based on the type of editor.
For more information on the different types of editors, see Editing filter conditionson page 8.
Remember:
While defining an alarm pattern, either the Distinguished Name or the Working Set
Name can be used. Both cannot be used together.
In the pop-up menu, the attribute names are displayed in the same order as in the
relevant Properties tool.
You can apply the Quick filter on alarms based on Invalid Probable Cause Code

plied, it gives an error message.
Table 1: List of operators
Operator Description Example
= All entries that exactly match the
filter condition are included
Object name = test
< All entries with a value less than
that of the filter condition are in-
cluded
< = All entries with a value less than
or equal to the filter condition are
included
> All entries with a value greater
than that of the filter condition are
included
> = All entries with a value greater
than or equal to the filter condition
are included
Between All entries that are between the
two specified values
This operator excludes the values
that are not equal to the specified
filter condition
In This operator works similar to the
= operator, but allows to include
multiple terms in the Parameter
field
Like This operator performs full text
search against the specified fil-
ter condition and tries to find the
most relevant matches. Include
wildcard * (asterisk) and & (and)
for better search functionality.
Not Like This operator checks for any pos-
sible filter condition and excludes
that in the result. Include wildcard
* (asterisk) and & (and) for better
For text fields, these operators
refer to the alphabetical order
of the values. When you select
Object Name > and select a
name, the filter includes all ob-
jects where the object name
falls alphabetically after the se-
