Step by step guide on how to use myaiesec.net

Many thanks for joining AIESEC UK’s GoGlobal this Summer programme.

We are excited - and hope you are too - for your summer volunteer placement abroad. The next step in the process is for you to search & apply for different traineeships, looking to “match” to your traineeship. This confirms final specific volunteer projects, destinations and dates, so you can continue to prepare for your summer experience with AIESEC.

Having registered and create your Exchange Participant (EP) Form, here is some guidance on the next steps is match to your traineeship, and kick-start your summer experience.

Searching and applying for your summer traineeship

1. Hover on “AIESEC Programmes”.

2. A variety of drop down options will appear under Global Community Development - this is the volunteer abroad section of the myaiesec.net platform. Click on Browse Internships.

Clicking on Browse Internships will take you to the screen below.

3. Browse Internships is from where you can search and apply for the variety of summer opportunities through AIESEC.

4. On the left hand side, you can filter your search according to your Programme - Global Community Development for summer volunteer abroad opportunities Minimum and Maximum Durations Any other specific requirements you are looking forYou can also filter by earliest start date.

We advise you to not be too specific in your filters (especially in specific requirements) while searching for internships - as you might miss some potentially great summer experiences!

Never forget the search button!

You can also search via Committee, which destination you would like to volunteer in. For this click on show, next to Committee.

5. A drop-down of all the different AIESEC Local Committees, grouped by Country, appears. You can then filter by country - or indeed Local Committee - for your search. Below is an example of a search for internships only in Mainland China.

The outcome of such a search is given below - Global Community Development Projects in Mainland China (a current total of 359!).

6. From here, you can have a closer look at each traineeship by clicking on its unique traineeship code, on the right-hand-side below the AIESEC Local Committee name.

This will take you to a separate window, similar to one below.

7. Here you can read all the information regarding this particular traineeship (TN). This includes job description, preferred duration of project and start dates, and any specific requirements for the role.

If you are interested in this particular traineeship, and would like to know more and especially apply, directly email the traineeship (TN) manager - whose email can be found in the top-right of the form, under “Raised By”.
