AFS SD Configuration

1. Create CharacteristicsPath:

T-Code: CT04In this step we create characteristics for master grid. These are nothing but the dimensions of the grid.

Number of Chars is nothing but the length of the length of the dimension value.

Same way we can create second characteristic as Size1.

2. Create Master GridPath:

T-Code: J3AH

3. Define Characteristics for categoriesPath: SAP Menu-Cross Application Component-Classification System-Master Data-CharacteristicsT-Code: CT04Give description in basic data tab. Here select the characteristics group as /AFS/SAP-C AFS Characteristics for categories. Enter value in Number of Characters field.

Input values of the characteristic in Values tab.

Save it and create one more characteristics for country of origin

4. Creating category structurePath: SPRO-Logistic General-AFS Characteristics-Define Category StructureGo to Change mode and click on New Entries. Select the line and double click on Fields folder. Click on New entries.

Input the characteristics defined earlier. Save it. Finally lock the category structure by clicking on Lock button.

5. Define coverage StrategiesPath-SPRO-Logistic General- AFS Categories-Define Coverage StrategyGo to change mode and select coverage structure and double click on Coverage strategies. Click on New Entry. Give name and description to coverage strategy.

Select the line and double click on category combination folder.

To enter the key combination press F4 in category value field. System will pop-up as shown below

Again in Quality field press F4 and you will get another pop up. Select the value of that characteristic. . Select Quality characteristic value (e.g. Q1) and County of Origin value in Country of Origin field.

Repeat the same process and enter all key combinations as above.

Save the entries. Click on ARUN/MRP/ATP: Requirement/Stock AllocationSelect the line and delete it.

Click on New Entry. Here you will get the screen as shown below. In this screen you will specify the requirement of stock category for particular requirement category.

Specify your stock category for particular requirement category as below.

Level: It indicates the level for the assignment of stock categories to requirements categories within an MRP module. The system checks the first level and tries to determine a stock category for the requirements category. Once all possibilities for stock categories are exhausted, then it advances to the next level and searches for an available stock category.For every new level it is possible to define a new MRP planning module. If only one module is used, this field only sorts the values.In above example when requirement category is Q1 IND ( Quality Q1 and Country of Origin- India) then the first priority is give to Q1 IND stock category. If Q1 IND is not available, second priority will be given to Q2 IND.Save your entries and double click on Requirement to Stock conversion folder.

Select the line and delete it. Click on new entry and do the entries as below.

Here we maintain Requirement category to stock category conversion. E.g. Q1 quality from India will be fulfilled by Q1 quality of India only.
