TextTypical font for imagine dragons, it’s the same used on all merchandise that Imagine Dragons produce. It is also slightly faded with the background this effect makes the viewer feel like everything is linked and connected to one another.

Night Visions is the first full album Imagine Dragons released and out of the two current albums was certainly only the beginning of deep understandings of common subjects. The imagery used throughout their work has always been a silhouette of a person, center framed with the background telling the story rather than the person.

BackgroundImagine Dragons’ music always has thought provoking themes that make the audience think deeply into the meaning of the song. The background is smoke and represents deep thought, this links back to what I have previously just said. The background also has this daylight colour fade to a nighttime colour, and with the title being night visions it could suggest the idea of ‘coming soon’ or a build up to this album release (theory of sunset/sunrise). The writing blends in well with the smoke to further link to that the idea is about their music.

Quotations and ratings on the album are seen here and are used to help publicize the band and encourage people to check out the band’s album. We also have the logo of the record company and some credits of the people who made the poster. It also tells us how big this album is with the word “Everywhere” suggesting worldwide. We also receive a date showing to be early on in the year of release.

ColourThe colour in the shot is gloomy and makes the audience feel like there is a fog clouding our judgment. This could link to the meanings of the songs within the album as they go on about how their feeling were always blocked or shunned upon. The dull colours and sad background show that the feelings will be about strong emotions towards the sad side of life but can also like to the leading band member’s struggle through depression which is factors in his songs as well. The colours can also reflect the style of music. The orange suggests their more upbeat songs and the dark blue represents their slow more meaningful songs.
