DEVICE. My error.
Pending at Kingdom due to change in paperwork.
I'd be surprised (shocked) if the orientation of charges on a chevron are always
blazoned. For one, I'm fairly certain that I didn't always blazon it. However, it wouldn't
hurt to add the orientation to the blazon.

Kazimir Liskowicz syn Wylkowski - New Name Change
OSCAR NOTE: the old name was registered in November of 2012, via Ansteorra.
Old Item: Kazimir Liskovich syn Volkov, to be retained as an alternate name.
Submitter desires a masculine name.
Kazimir is a period Polish name, found in the Academy of St. Gabriel Report 1752
(http://www.panix.com/~gabriel/public-bin/showfinal.cgi/1752.txt)
Liskowicz syn is a Patronymic byname. SENA states that bynames based on relationships can be
marked in a number of ways and includes the example of using syn after the byname. Liscowicz
Ansteorran Internal Letter of Decision November 2014
itself is a constructed byname. SENA states that another way of indicating relationship was the
'wicz' ending to the byname. So in essence Liskowicz syn would mean 'son of Lisko's son'.
Although documentation for the name Lis or Lisko in Polish, beyond the Clan name Lis, has not
been found, Lisko is documented in the online edition of Paul Wickenden's A Dictionary of
Period Russian Names (And some of their Slavic roots) (http://heraldry.sca.org/names/paul/).
The cited name is Lisko Cziskowicz which seems to be a Polish name given the 'wicz' ending,
and even if this is not the case, Russian and Polish share compatible name groups per SENA and
this citation would justify the use of the 'wicz' with Lisko as a purely Russian name.
Wylkowski is a constructed Locative byname. SENA states that in Polish i/y/j switches are
common, and that adding -ski to the end of a place name in its grammatically required form is
one way to construct an adjectival locative byname. Submitter found evidence of many places
called Wilkow in Poland, several with history stretching back to our period. However, as the
geographical boundries of Poland have changed a lot over the years submitter was unsure which
would be the best one to use to document this name, and is hoping someone more knowledgeable
within the college may know.
Pended at Kingdom for clarification of the name.
