They are given candles to light and they pass their light onto the smaller candles of the graduating seniors and they pass it to the rest of graduating seniors and they pass it to the rest of the camp. The light fills the once dark great hall.Everyone is reminded this is what we are to be in and for our world.

2017 Camping ReportsJunior Camp 2017 was filled with energy! Our Theme was "Little is Much in the Hands of the Lord". The Head Bible teachers Cheryl and Al Whitesitt did an incredible job teaching the campers how big our Lord is and the plan He has for us. The campers got dirty in the Octoball pit and then got cleaned up by Robinson Creek daily. Lots of fun, scrapes, and bruises were had by playing intense rounds of capture the flag, dodgeball, and blob tag.capture the flag, dodgeball, and blob tag. The session never slowed down from beginning to end. If you want to check out what the session really looked like then watch the Junior Camp 17 Video that is posted on the facebook page and the website. Thanks and blessings on your Journey. Director Matt Cleveland.

Middle Camp This Summer we learned about Jesus being the one way to life. We had a great teaching staff and the campers were well-fed spiritually. As always, we were active during the day. Because of heavy rain and Robinson Creek bursting its banks we were being creative with our swimming times. We went on a “swamp walk” one day and swam in the woods. We were treated to wonderful singing and encouraging devotional thoughts each evening. I truly encouraging devotional thoughts each evening. I truly enjoyed watching the young people grow during the two weeks. We witnessed acts of kindness, encouragement, inclusion, and spiritual maturity. We worked together on camp improvements and learned about working and playing together. Well done staff and campers! Looking forward to 2018! Director, Sean NiestrathIntermediate Camp 2017 was an inspiring session for everyone involved. Our theme was "Seeing through the eyes of Jesus" in which we looked into various interactions that Jesus had with people in the Gospels. Our head teacher, Justin Mooney, once again created a curriculum that was an eye opening experience and Spirit filled. We once again partnered with Heart Shot Ministry. Thanks to Troy Bendickson and his creBendickson and his crew, campers learned biblical truths through the practice of archery. Our veteran & committed staff also worked hard to create a community where campers were encouraged, loved and challenged to dig deeper in their own faith. Campers experienced morning devotionals that used road signs to illustrate aspects of our journey of faith, fun evening activities led by their peers, post rest-period minute to win-it's led by counselors, and free time activities minute to win-it's led by counselors, and free time activities to build stronger relationships with one another. We all left encouraged and believe God was glorified in our two weeks together! Director, Greg SmithSenior Camp had a great session with over 70 campers. Our study of James and the Sermon on the Mount focused on practical faith. As is our practice, we had 4 object lessons and brought them home with an Ebenezer. Compared to last year this session was a breeze with no trips to the clinic or E.R. The only potential clinic trip was a dislocated pinkie toe that was remedied by our staff surgeon Jerry Smith. We worked on several service projects: Grass seeding on the worked on several service projects: Grass seeding on the ball field, brush was cleared between the parking lot and the residence, new volleyball net supports were installed, most of the bell tower was resided, Ed Gund purchased a truck load of gravel that was used to fill erosion holes around camp. Director, Jeff Hill.

Why we do What we doTestimonials from 2017 campers telling how camp has had an affect on their livesMy time at Wisconsin Christian Youth Camp at Black River Falls, WI has changed my life for the better, It brought me closer to God, taught me hymns to sing to the one and only Lord, and made me more active physically in the past two weeks. More specifically, I was changed by a counselor named Jim Coehoorn. He taught me that God’s plan for me will take action if I follow his teaching and am open to his word. I want to follow his teaching and am open to his word. I want to study at MIT college and be an astro physicist, but I also want to be a preacher. That might not require formal training, but it’ll help alot. I was worrying about it for the past 6 or so months and was also drifting from God in the process. The counselor brought me closer to God by telling me that God will choose my path and that I just need to be ready when my path is shown to me. just need to be ready when my path is shown to me. None of this would have happened if I hadn’t been at WCYC. Clayton, Intermediate campWCYC is heaven on earth to me, my home life is very bad and so is my family. At camp all my pain goes away and I have no problems. I am so gratful for all the campers and counselors, without camp I have no true family. Camp makes me feel like I’m loved not only by people but by God! I’m sad I am leaving but you can only move forward. Thank you for accepting me WCYC ! WCYC ! Nikki, Senior campI have been to WCYC for four years now. You may think I’m experienced based on that information, but I’ll be the first to tell you I am not. Every year my dad drives me to camp, asking me if I have everything, and if I know where my friends will be. Every year I tell him I do. Every year I am confident that I know all the songs, I think I know all the people, and I think that I know almost exactly how Itknow almost exactly how It’s going to be. And every year I come to camp and I’m wrong! You’d think I would learn, right? Every year I come to camp it is new, it is fresh, and it is different. I meet new people, I sing new songs, and I have countless new experiences. It is always amazing, magnificent, and brilliant. I never want to be right! Joy, Intermediate campI’ve always heard that senior session is a session that is a lot heavier on the spiritual growth, but I didn’t really think about it until I got here. On the first night, that Sunday, when we took communion together, and you could spend time in prayer with each other, and Shane gave us his “don’t play church” speech, I knew this session was going to be deep and meaningful. When I walked into the bathhouse and saw the mirrors covered walked into the bathhouse and saw the mirrors covered up for the first time, I didn’t get it. I didn’t get the point of doing that until Wednesday-ish. That object lesson with the mirrors was huge for me. My complexion and face was, and still kind of is, something I’ve struggled with accepting. Anyway, this session has been great to help me realize how important it is to have a good relationship with God. Especially during quiet time. relationship with God. Especially during quiet time. Quest 2017 reportQuesters enjoyed another good year of fellowship and spiritual enrichment. The two groups, Spanish speaking, and English became one group sharing time praising God in song and having fun. Adult bible classes were divided into Spanish and English groups, while the children's classes were all together. Lunches Friday and Saturday were a special treat consisting of authentic Hispanic cuisine such as Flautas and authentic Hispanic cuisine such as Flautas and Arrachera with rice and beans. Worship service on Sunday was enjoyed together. Singing and teaching was all bilingual and all prayed thanks for the love we have for one another.130 souls went home with precious memory'sdirectors: Fernando Diaz & Tim Randolph

Operations Manager reportThis year was a wonderful year for our campers. From a facilities standpoint it was not as good. We had a flood in the Residence. We had a lighting strike and it knocked out our power for almost a whole day. The lightning also burned out our modem and internet access point. An excessive amount of rain caused a record number of washouts. And wind storms knocked over numerous trees.over numerous trees. We did our best to keep up with the extra work, but it caused several of our other projects around the camp to be put on hold. However, we are back on track and have caught up on most of these projects. The new roof is complete on the Great Hall. The new stairs to the creek are under construction and other smaller projects are getting done. Despite, the difficult weather this summer, God's ministry to those who come to WCYC will continue and this place will still hold a special place in all our hearts. Overall it was a fantastic summer and we look forward Overall it was a fantastic summer and we look forward to another great year ahead! OM Brandt Johnson
