Remote computer will be accessed by IP address of that computer. User will be provided with various functions including Restart, Shutdown, Logoff, Editing Text Files, Downloading files from remote computer on a button click. This will be done with the help of Internet. This application can run on multiple platforms including Windows OS, Linux etc. This application is developed keeping in mind the personal / business needs today’s user. Keywords : Android, Internet, Remote, IP. 1. Introduction In earlier days, we could access remote desktop through desktop only. And it is recommended that both desktops should be in the same network. It’s not possible in huge amount of complexities in the network. Hence, there is need to access desktop through wireless network from any part of the world. The main idea behind the proposed architecture was the design of application which would provide the services needed to perform operations from remote mobile phones. The demand and the users of mobile communication technology and related services have increased a great deal. Nowadays android phones are most popular device to provide many facilities than previously available cellular phones. The mobile development community is at a tipping point. Mobile users demand more choice, more opportunities to customize their phones, and more functionality. Android is one of the most widely used mobile operating system. It is possible to run various applications very quickly and simultaneously on android devices. These devices play a vital role in technical fields as well as daily life. Keeping in mind the present and future needs of Mobile Communication Systems, we have designed an application, which enables the user to access remote computer through android phones with the help of wired or wireless connection. This application connects desktop with mobile phone using the IP address. It will check for the IP address if it is correct or not. If the IP matches to remote desktop IP, then connection is established and further communication starts using the various functions. It is possible to use the application at any remote location.

    1. Introduction

    In earlier days, we could access remote desktop through desktop only. And it is recommended that both desktops should be in the same network. Its not possible in huge amount of complexities in the network. Hence, there is need to access desktop through wireless network from any part of the world. The main idea behind the proposed architecture was the design of application which would provide the services needed to perform operations from remote mobile phones. The demand and the users of mobile communication technology and related services have increased a great deal.

    2. Why Android OS as a Platform?

    Android is greeted as the first complete, open, and free mobile platform:Complete: The designers took a wide-ranging methodology when they developed the Android platform. They began with a safe and sound operating system and built a robust software framework on top that allows for rich application development prospects.Open: The Android platform is provided through open source certifying. Developers have unparalleled access to the handset features when developing applications.Free: Android applications are free to develop. There are no licensing or sovereigns fees to develop on the platform. No required affiliation fees. No required testing fees. No required signing or accreditation fees. Android applications can be disseminated and commercialized in a variety of ways.

    3. Design of the Proposed System

    Now we look into the work up to the time done on the same concept. It refer to various architectures for monitoring desktop using Android. There are different prospects to establish link between a desktop and the handheld Client such as Java Sockets, USB interface and Android Debug Bridge Client. [2] Describes architecture for remote controlling a desktop based on Bluetooth. The implementation is done in J2ME and the desktop based on windows. There are other executions that are done to access desktop using internet, not only within Wi-Fi series but in any chunk of the world.If you're user account doesn't require a password to sign in, you'll need to add a password before you're allowed to start a connection with a remote computer. To connect to a remote computer that must be turned on, it must have an internet connection and you must have permission to connect it. For permission toconnect, you must be valid IP address of remote computer.

    4. System Architecture

    The aim of our system is to provide operations needed to perform remote access between android mobile device and laptops/desktops.

    With Remote Desktop Connection, you can connect to a computer running Windows from mobile running on android with the help of Internet. For example, we can use all of our work computer's programs, files from our mobile phone, and it's just like you're sitting in front of your computer at work.

    Whenever user wants to connect with remote desktop/laptop, he starts the application on his android mobile device and enters the IP address of server remote desktop. Then server checks the IP address if it is valid, connection will be established. Apache Tomcat server is required for execution of servlet operations i. e create, rename, delete and update a folder as well as control the directory structure of remote system.

    1) First user requires the IP address for connection of laptop/desktop to android mobile.2) User can see and access overall directory structure and all files.3) User can move files, documents from mobile phone to laptop/desktop.4) If user wants to make changes in any document, then it needs to download it first, update it and

    then upload to laptop/desktop.5) User can create a new folder, rename it and also delete the folder from laptop/desktop using

    mobile phone.6) User can restart or shutdown the system from mobile phone.

    5. Results of Proposed System

    It is the first part which the user will face. The login part contains the User ID and Password which on verification by server will deliver the authentication to user. Whenever user needs to access the remote desktop, he should have an valid user name and password. If user has authenticated, he have authority to access remote Desktop/Laptops.

    2) If user needs to access the remote system, then he must know the IP address of Remote system. If he will success to give valid IP then and then he connect and control overall directory structure of remote system.

    3) Once user enters into the system structure, he can see the various menus like browsing, shutdown, restart and exit.

    4) User can browse the directory of remote system and performs various operations on it.

    RAM : Min 1 GB

    Hard Disk : 80 GB

    Mobile : Android Based Smart phones

    7. Advantages

    1) Easy to use, no configuration is necessary.2) It saves mobile storage space due to moving files from mobile phone to laptop/desktop.3) Easy file upload and File Download, shutdown computers, restart computers, logoff computers on a

    button click.4) Our project application can connect with all of our computers.5) We will transfer the data using encryption. So if third person retrieved the data then he/she will get the

    encrypted contains.

    1. It requires Internet connection.2. Confidential data can also be access from android mobile.

    9. Conclusion

    This application is beneficial to the user for accessing remote desktop/laptops from anywhere using mobile phones. It is very easy to access from android device because of android features. There is no need to store all data in mobile device. We can store in remote desktop and access whenever we requires. It saves mobile memory space.
