About AODAThe purpose of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), 2005, is to ensure that all Ontarians have fair and equitable access to programs and services and to improve opportunities for persons with disabilities.

Loyalist College strives at all times to provide its post-secondary programs and services in a way that respects the dignity and independence of all people. We are committed to allowing people with disabilities to benefit from our programs and services in a similar manner to other students and employees.

Legislative Training RequirementsCustomer Service Standard This standard must be completed by all College employees, agents and volunteers within one month of hire. Training modules are customized for each employment group: academic, support, administrative and work study.

Accessibility Awareness Training for Educators This training must be completed by all College employees who are involved in program or course design, delivery and instruction within one month of hire.

The Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation and Ontario Human Rights Code This training must be completed by all College employees and volunteers within one month of hire.

Accessing Training and Information ResourcesAll AODA training is available on the myLoyalist portal through Inspire (myloyalist.com) and may be accessed at your convenience. Log in with your College username and password. Volunteers and others who do not have access to the myLoyalist employee portal can access the training modules on the Loyalist College website. All acknowledgement forms on this training platform must be returned to Human Resources Services.

Note: If you have completed any of the training modules through a previous employer, please submit a copy of your certificate of completion to Human Resources Services to ensure that your training is recorded.
