OPPORTUNITY For nearly a century, the Jaguar Land Rover family of brands have captured hearts and minds around the world, delivering moments that feed the soul and inspire a sense of adventure. To help guests better engage with the company’s brands, Jaguar Land Rover has built more than 30 Experience Centers across the world, focusing on their current and future portfolios, and highlighting technological advancements that further reinforce consumer’s investment in the brands. Additionally, these centers allow guests to work with professional instructors in a safety-first environment to hone their driving skills on a number of different on- and off-road racetracks. There is even a plan to integrate a youth-focused program for children ages 10 to 17 in the near future. When the opportunity arose to build its most ambitious Experience Center 23 kilometers west of Moscow, Jaguar Land Rover turned to CBRE to help.

SOLUTION & OUTCOMEGiven the size and complexity of the project, it was critical to streamline the various workflows to ensure that timelines and technical specifications were met. The CBRE Moscow team helped accelerate the project, advising on construction proposals, managing negotiations between the client and developer, and providing management services throughout, helping keep the project on track and find various cost savings in the process. The result: a world-class center featuring a 2.5-kilometer circular track through scenic woods, 3.5 hectares of off-road terrain and tarmac area, designed and built in less than 12 months.

From test-drive sessions to fully immersive whole-day courses (3, 6 or 9 hour courses), guests can get behind the wheel of their favorite Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles and navigate more than two dozen challenging obstacles, from boulder fields to deep water, steep hills to angled ditches. Additionally, guests can relax in a sophisticated, 600-square-meter showroom that includes a reception area, café, mini theater, instruction rooms and a retail store. There’s even a branded electric car track for children featuring a mini outdoor track. The Jaguar Land Rover Experience Center opened in October 2015.

CBRE’s global platform allowed us to negotiate with the different parties in different countries and languages, monitor progress and costs locally, and streamline the reporting to keep the project on track. The design phase took eight months and construction was completed in just four months, in time for a grand opening celebration.

This is the only project of this size in the world. CBRE worked closely with the engineers and experienced professional drivers who designed the course to implement the technical specifications and find cost savings.
