New this year, our Academic Bridge Camp will help students safely get back into the swing of traditional school with fun and engaging lessons run by certified teachers. Lessons will include reading, writing workshop, math, and STEM with an emphasis on deep understanding, strategic practice, and technology integration.

Teachers will implement an integrated approach with the following programs:

STEM provides comprehensive digital resources, supplemental print materials, and hands-on exploration kits that drive engagement and academic growth in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

First In Math is a proven online math-practice tool that leverages students’ love of online gaming to build math skills and create high levels of engagement.

Everyone Can Create is an Apple program that helps students develop and communicate their ideas through music, drawing, photos, and video using the iPad. It includes a range of activities and project guides for students to learn vocabulary and techniques in a specific medium through fun projects.

Writing Workshop creates the space for teachers to work with student writers to choose topics, purposes, and audiences for their writing. Teachers use mentor texts, 1 to 1 writing conferences, and mini lessons to foster the habits students need to form writing routines.

i-Ready English Language Arts & Mathematics Instruction gives students an online experience that encourages them to take more ownership over their learning and motivates them as they progress through i-Ready lessons, activities, and strategies that are specific to their individual needs.

• Begins Monday, June 22, 2020 (Minimum of 5 students required to run each section)
