Craft Corner Sessions 1 & 21st-8th Grade Miss Scott

Materials Fee $10

This is an incredible class! Crafters will have the choice to make a project of the day or have open choice to design their own projects. Miss Scott with help you with your designs. There are so many materials available for you to use every day! Let the crafting begin!

Puff Ball Extravaganza Sessions 1 & 21st-8th Grade Miss Scott

Materials Fee $10

You will be AMAZED at everything that can be made with PUFF BALLS!!! Join this class to make animals, cartoon characters, and more with tons of supplies at your fingertips!

Drawing and Painting Sessions 1 & 21st-8th Grade Mrs. L’amour

Materials Fee $10

The students will learn basic drawing techniques while using pastels, pencil, water-soluble colored pencils and watercolors. We will focus on drawing, shapes and the use of light.

Sewing Session 24th-8th Grade Mrs. L’amourMaterials Fee $20

Students will learn how to use an electric sewing machine, how to read a pattern, and will create a take-home project. The students will choose from some simple patterns, creating an item of their choice. The students should bring fabric, thread to match and a pair of sharpened scissors. This is a great class to learn the basics of sewing and how fun it can be!

Cartooning and Animation Sessions 1 & 21st-8th Grade Mrs. L’amour

Materials Fee $5

The students will discover the world of cartooning and how cartoonists develop their characters. They will learn about cartoon strips and work on a program to make a short, animated cartoon. If the student has a laptop, they are encouraged to bring it with them to class.

Oil Painting Session 12nd-8th Grade Mrs. L’amour

Materials Fee $25

The students will be using water-soluble oil paints on a canvas board using some of the techniques of the old masters. The students will choose their subject matter to paint.

All About Me! Sessions 1 & 22nd-6th Grade Mrs. Frailey

Materials Fee $12

Come learn to tell your story with photos, journaling and embellishments! All you need are your photos! You will make your own scrapbook themed “All About Me”. We will work on writing prompts, creative use of photos, layout and design elements and more. Students will use rubber stamps, shape cutters and punches. A completed album will be yours to take home!

Math 1 Sessions 1 & 21st Grade Mrs. Anderson

This class is to help reinforce and review skills from Kindergarten while also introducing children to many skills they will need for a successful 1st Grade year. Get ready to blast through your summer packet with this terrific and prepatory class.

Marvelous Math 3-4 Sessions 1 & 23rd-4th Grade Mrs. Just

You will begin every morning with an amazing warm-up activity as you fine-tune your math skills with Mrs. Just! Many math games and centers, Math Packet time and super lessons will help you be a terrific mathematician!

Math 2 Sessions 1 & 22nd Grade Mrs. Dennis

Calling all Mathmeticians! Let’s get ready for second grade by reviewing important first grade math skills. We will have fun warm-up activities like BINGO and Marcy Cook hundred chart challenges. All math abilities are welcome. Time will be spent working on the Summer Math Packet.

Middle School Math Sessions 1 & 26th-8th Grade Mrs. Kilgore/Mrs. Hardy

Need some MATH MOJO? Don’t delay! Multiply your math skills this July! We’ll tackle fractions, decimals, geometry, algebra, and tease your brain with puzzles, games and mind-bogglers. Science Summer Spectacular Sessions 1 & 2Mrs. Kolk

1st-5th GradeMaterials Fee $15Session I - An action-packed two weeks performing experiments and observing the results. Students will be challenged to design and conduct investigations in chemistry, physics and earth science. Each inquiry will set young minds into motion through hands-on activities during this fantastic class.

Session II - Launching, expanding, fizzing, flying…these are a few of the results that your young scientist will experience in Mrs. Kolk’s class. Students will be encouraged to discover the “why” in our world by questioning, hypothesizing, testing, and concluding and HAVING FUN!

“It’s a Mystery” Sessions 1 & 22nd-4th Grade Mrs. Freese

Materials Fee $10Each day will be a new adventure and you won’t know what topic or activity is coming next. Come to class each day to write, explore, think, create, make, conquer, count, and predict. A prize will be awarded to the student who predicts the theme each day. Join this amazing class!

Spanish Technology Sessions 1 & 2 6th-8th Grade Mrs. Hesson

Spanish technology will provide you with a creative way to learn Spanish by incorporating different types of technology. In this class, we’ll use websites like youtube, radio ambulante, voki, and edmodo. We will listen to podcasts and create avatars that speak in Spanish. This class will serve as a review or a basic introduction to Spanish.

Become a worldly musician and learn to play, read, and create your own music! We will be exploring the unique sounds from around the world as well as learning more about music in the United States. You will create an instrument as well.

Middle School Writing Sessions 1 & 26th-8th Grade Mr. Dennis

Middle School Writing is here to assist you to become an expert at essays and proficient in paragraphs. This class assists students in finding their voice while writing assignments that are high-interest and challenging! You will receive guidance in the writing process and gain confidence while reinforcing skill sets!

Let’s Write a Book Sessions 1 & 22nd & 3rd Grade Mrs. Cervantes/Mrs. Kittredge

Materials Fee $25

You will be the author and illustrator of your very own book in this two-week class. Learn all about graphic organizers, story webs and descriptive language! Your own story and illustrations will be printed in color and spiral bound! Join us for this creative class.

Reading and Writing Workshop 3-5 Sessions 1 & 23rd-5th Grade Mr. Dennis

Mr. Dennis is looking forward to helping reinforce your reading and writing skills with a workshop designed to help students become more confident, creative writers. The class will involve lessons, games, and projects aimed at giving students the tools they need to find their writing voice while still focusing on fundamentals.

Reading 1 Sessions 1 & 21st Grade Mrs. Anderson

For incoming first graders, we will energize, explore, and expand their reading skills. While reviewing Kindergarten phonics skills and front-loading First Grade comprehension skills, the children will enjoy many entertaining, challenging games and activities while learning.

This is a Fin-tastic writing and drawing class. Each student will write and draw daily in their own sea creature book. You will learn about ocean creatures through poetry, graphic oranizers and fact-filled stories. Don’t miss this sea-sational opportunity!

Do you love to play games? In this class we will be playing all kinds of games...from computer games to “ball” games to board games. Join us for basketball, volleyball, kickball, badminton and more. Every day will be a new adventure!

Academic Chess Beginning/Intermediate/Advanced Sessions 1 & 21st-5th Grade Let’s play chess! Learning chess strategies can help you with so many things. Develop your critcal thinking and problem-solving skills, gain confidence, patience, and a better memory. Prizes are awarded at the end of each session!

Super Sitters Babysitting Class Sessions 1 & 25th-8th Grade Mrs. Hesson

Materials Fee $30

Learn the first aid skills to be the BEST babysitter in Mrs. Hesson’s class. This interactive class focuses on a variety of babysitting issues from child safety to performing first aid. Students should be 11 years old and up to meet the legal babysittiing age requirements. The materials fee is for CPR Certification!

Ball, Jump Rope and Obstacle Courses Sessions 1 & 21st & 2nd Grade Mrs. Costanzo

Get your hand-eye coordination in tip-top shape with this SUPER class. You will jumprope, run obstacle courses and compete in relay races too. Plan to pass, bounce and catch balls. Frisbee golf and beanbag toss are just a few of the fun games we will use as a warm-up each morning. Get ready to jump and run!

Cheer Clinic Session 21st-5th Grade Ms. FosterMaterials Fee $15 Come learn how to cheer as well as a dance or two! Practice your kicks, jumps and basic cheer motions along with a few tumbling skills! Pom Poms and a cheer bow are included! You will decorate your own cheer t-shirt too!

Bricks 4 Kidz Sessions 1 & 21st-5th Grade Bricks 4 Kidz

Materials Fee $10

Bricks 4 Kidz: Science, Technology, Engineering and Math come to life with amazing LEGO robotics creations. Students use battery-operated motors, gears, axles and bricks to create moving LEGO models. Session 1:”Space Adventures” Students will build a new model each day that represents a key element of space travel.

Session 2: “Transportation” Come build different models of motorized transportation like a dragster or a train during this busy session!
