The History of Thompson

• Deloras E. Thompson Elementary school opened it’s doors on August 14, 1996.

• It’s namesake is Deloras E. Thompson who served as a teacher, coach, and school board member in Spring ISD for 12 years !

• Every year, Ms. Thompson donates poinsettias for the Holidays as a support to the environment here at Thompson.

What is a Timberwolf?

•School Colors: Navy & Gold •Our Mascot is the Timber Wolf. Timberwolves travel in “PACKS” or Families, and work as a TEAM. That is what we require from you. TEAMWORK, and COOPERATION as you are apart of our FAMILY.

Being at School Everyday Is IMPORTANT

• School Starts Everyday @ 8:00am • Breakfast Begins @ 7:30am • Doors open @ 7:30am • Don’t Be Tardy • Don’t Leave School Early • No student will be released after 2:30pm for appointments. This is an safety concern.

RED WARNING LETTERS • Issued whenever WE are

unable to contact your parents/guardian by phone.

• Is an EMERGENCY situation.

• YOU must returned completed in 24hours.

• You can be removed from school pending a parent conference with a principal.

Thompson Uniforms

TOP SOLID COLORS: RED, WHITE, BLUE, NAVY BLUE or YELLOW ONLY: They must have collars and no logos. Tops cannot have trim around the collar or sleeve that is a different color from the tops. Students’ shirts must be tucked in at all times.

BOTTOMS ARE SOLID: JEANS WITH NO HOLES OR TEARS, KHAKI, or NAVY BLUE ONLY: Uniform Pants, Shorts or Skirts are acceptable. Skirts may be: (pleated-scooter, front, jean front, or wrap) Bottoms should NOT have trim, flowers, or designs of any type, shape or size.

What We Don’t Tolerate Here At Thompson • Profanity/Cursing • Fighting (3-day removal) • Taunting, Teasing others • Refusal to follow adult-given directives

• Bullying • Students that refuse to do class work

Cell Phones

• Are NOT ALLOWED at Thompson, if found powered on, and working during class time the teacher will take them up, and hand them over to Administration for security. It will cost your parents $15.00 dollars to retrieve.

ALL Medication Goes to the Nurse’s Office • Any Medication brought to school must be turned in by a Parent/Guardian into the nurse’s office.

• Any student found with any type of medication whether it is over-the-counter or prescription will receive serious disciplinary actions.

Restroom Usage and Care • Use the restroom

responsibly • Show PACK Pride • Any Vandalism may

result in restriction o of restroom privileges , and removal to a DAEP.
