Students’ testimonials

“I have been a student of PERL since March and today is my last day, and it was a pleasure for me being here sharing with all those nice people I have met here, I have unforgetable experiences from my classes. I thank to everyone and I will be very happy of meeting you again. Love,” Brenda - Venezuela “Since September I have been in this school and I am really happy with my school. When I arrived I didn’t speak French at all only “bonjour” but right now I am in the advanced class and taking DALF classes. From the first day I never had difficulties with administration. They are friendly and they are very flexible to do the best for us. At school we have many opportunities to learn French language in different ways. By this way you never get bored. I loved theatre and writing classes. I can use my imagination and I have fun a lot, the other good thing is “learn the language in different dimensions. Hopefully, I am gonna pass the exam and I will study in a French University next year. If I do this, this is just because I chose the right school PERL.” Sevim – Istanbul - Turkey

Accommodation options

Homestay We offer quality homestay services for students who want to experience local culture in a safe and secure environment. The most important thing for students and parents to know is that by choosing homestay, a student will be sharing someone’s home and the hospitality of the family. As modern life has developed over the last decade, homestay may be different from the traditional family structure to which some students may be accustomed in their own countries. The key point is that whatever the host family is composed of a single person or traditional family, all have a proven record of caring and enjoying hosting foreign students. Information

Number of students sharing No speakers of the same native language in the same family, except by request Normally a maximum of 4 students per homestay

Distance from the school Few of our families are within walking distance. Many students will have to travel by public transports, formally for a maximum travelling time of 30 minutes.

Bedroom Standard sized bed with bedside table lamp. Sheet and pillow are provided and changed each week. Adequately sized wardrobe and drawer space for each student’s clothing and possessions Table or desk and chair for private study.

Laundry The student has to check with the family.

Keys Students are normally provided with door key.

Meals 2 options are available:

Bed and breakfast Half-board: breakfast and dinner

Most families can cater for special dietary requirements If for any reason the student does not wish to eat at home we kindly ask him/her to notify the family in advance. It's great to experience the different cultural aspects of living with a family, such as different food and meal times, but we kindly ask the student to respect the family rules too! We also suggest that the student take some pictures of his/her family, friends and home as these can act as useful props for discussion.
