Chary built up a 10-2 lead after 2Vt innings on home runs by Betsy Trombley and Joanne Gratto. Cycle tied the scoring by scoring seven runs in the fourth at 11-11 and made it 13*11 with two runs in the fifth. Chazy regained the lead only to have the winners take the lead for good in the sixth on Angie Richards three-run HR. Chazy remains doe game in front as a result of an earlier 8-6 win over the French Connection. - The French Omnection then rebounded for a 17-2 victory over Sub-way as Beaner Roberts had four hits. Korina won two games — a 10-4 suspended contest over Sub-way and a 9-4 win over Adirondack Cyde, scoring six runs in the sixth to break a 3-3 tie. NORWICH, Ct. - Toby Lane threw a complete game one-hit- ter to lead American Legion Post 326 past Norwich, 5-0, in the second game of the Norwich Legion Baseball Tournament Saturday. Post 326 dropped the first game to South County, Rhode Island, 6-4. Against Norwich, Kirk Beattie hit a two-run home run in the third inning for all the offense Post 326 wbuki need. The homer gave the Adirondack team a 3-0 lead. They added two more run in the top of the fifth inning for the final margin. In the first game. South Coun- ty scored three runs in the fifth inning to build a 5-3 lead. Both teams traded seventh-inning runs for the final score. Jason Crippen collected three hits, including a double in the two games for Post 326, which improves to 4-2. Martisus was timed in 4:09, one second ahead of Corey Facteau of Peru. In the boys 800. Tim Eagan of Peru placed second behind Paul Lupi of Niskayuna. Lupi, the New York State high school 800-meter champ, finished in 1:58.0. Eagan, bound for SUNY-Delhi in the fall, was tim- ed in 2:00.7. Kelly Miller, also of Peru, won the girls triple jump. Andy Brown of Northeastern Clinton competed in the high jump, but his finish was not known at press time. Adirondack Cycle apsets Ckazy PLATTSBURGH - In City Women's Softball League action last

week, Adirondack Cycle knocked Chazy from the ranks of the undefeated with a 16-15 come-from-behind victory. Chary built up a 10-2 lead after 2Vt innings on home runs by Betsy Trombley and Joanne Gratto.

Cycle tied the scoring by scoring seven runs in the fourth at 11-11 and made it 13*11 with two runs in the fifth. Chazy regained the lead only to have the winners take the lead for good in the sixth on Angie Richards three-run HR.

Chazy remains doe game in front as a result of an earlier 8-6 win over the French Connection. - The French Omnection then rebounded for a 17-2 victory over Sub-way as Beaner Roberts had four hits.

Korina won two games — a 10-4 suspended contest over Sub-way and a 9-4 win over Adirondack Cyde, scoring six runs in the sixth to break a 3-3 tie. The Cadyvffle Merchants won their lone game of the week, 16-7, over the Korina and Sub-way edged Sukf s, 8-7, in eight innings

NORWICH, Ct. - Toby Lane threw a complete game one-hit-ter to lead American Legion Post 326 past Norwich, 5-0, in the second game of the Norwich Legion Baseball Tournament Saturday.

Post 326 dropped the first game to South County, Rhode Island, 6-4.

Against Norwich, Kirk Beattie hit a two-run home run in the third inning for all the offense Post 326 wbuki need. The homer gave the Adirondack team a 3-0 lead. They added two more run in the top of the fifth inning for the final margin.

ty scored three runs in the fifth inning to build a 5-3 lead. Both teams traded seventh-inning runs for the final score.

Jason Crippen collected three hits, including a double in the two games for Post 326, which improves to 4-2. The Adirondack team continues play today at 12:30 against MontvUle, Ct.

HUDSON FALLS - Derek Martisus of AuSable Valley won the 1,500-meter run Saturday at a Junior Olympic regional track and field meet in Hudson Falls.

Martisus was timed in 4:09, one second ahead of Corey Facteau of Peru.

In the boys 800. Tim Eagan of Peru placed second behind Paul Lupi of Niskayuna. Lupi, the New York State high school 800-meter champ, finished in

1:58.0. Eagan , bound for SUNY-Delhi in the fall, was tim­ed in 2:00.7.

Kelly Miller, also of Peru, won the girls triple jump. Andy Brown of Northeastern Clinton competed in the high jump, but his finish was not known at press time.

Martisus, Facteau, Eagan and Miller all qualify for the eastern regional meet in Providence, R.I., June 28-30.
