1. Have you ever been to a doughnut shop? how about starbucks?what do you think? if you have been to both, how do they compare?

Yes, I think Starbucks is different from a doughnut shop, there are more priority to the menu like for coffee, and donuts are also used as a complementary. The price of a cup of coffee in Starbucks is more expensive than in a doughnut shop. In the Otherwise, in doughnut shop, there are more priority to the menu like for donuts, and coffee as a complementary.

3. In buying coffee how important are taste,price,image(i.e.whether the place you are buying it at is cool or not)? discuss each in turn.

In my opinion the taste, price and place may depend on each individual, because there may be people who have more money then chooses to focus on taste and comfortable without worrying about the price. Otherwise for people who economically less likely they will be engaged in price beyond taste.

7. Why do once-powerful companies often become”sleeping giant”? what can be done to solve this problem do you think?

I think because the company had been satisfied with the profit they can, so they only manage an existing business without developing a broader business. This can be bad because with so many other companies are better competitors, sooner or later these companies will decrease the quality of the company. In addition, in managing the business needed skills of innovation. Perhaps these companies do not have the expertise in innovation so as not good enough to compete with other companies more competent in managing their business.

8. In english there is a saying”The bigger they are the harder they fall.”Do you agree with thiss statement(from a bisnis perspective)?why or why not?

I agree with the statement, because most large companies have branches in almost all areas, at least the company will not get down directly. With the existence of these branches, is expected to help the parent company in the face of adversity in business management.
