In the past four years, our athletic teams have won nine Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championships. During that same time, 15 teams have finished their seasons with national rankings, including football, which won the 2014 NCAA Division II National Championship.

Crestone, Culebra, and Greenhorn halls feature computer labs, classrooms, meeting space, and social space, along with a bistro in Culebra Hall for a convenient dining venue.

WUE Residents: We are proud to participate in the Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE). If you reside in one of the WUE states, you will automatically receive the reduced tuition rate if you:
• Complete two years of high school in your home WUE state prior to graduation or• Transfer from a two- or four-year institution in a WUE state
ThunderWolf Residents: Residents of select states automatically qualify for the ThunderWolf Rate, a reduced tuition rate.
As a Non-Colorado Resident, a ThunderWolf Resident, or a WUE Resident, you also are eligible to receive the Living-Learning Award of $2,000 per year as long as you live in University housing.

All New Students$1,000 Commitment to Colorado Award Requirements: Colorado residents who complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by March 1 each year and receive a Pell Grant; 3.0 GPA required to renew; renewable for up to three years.
$1,000 First Generation Scholarship Requirements: First generation college students (neither parent has received a bachelor’s degree), 3.0 high school or transfer GPA; 3.0 GPA required to renew; renewable for up to three years. The First Generation Scholarship may be combined with any other CSU-Pueblo scholarship.
Transfer Students$2,000 Destination CSU-Pueblo Scholarship Requirements: Transfer students with an Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, or Associate of General Studies degree and a minimum 3.0 community/junior college cumulative GPA. Renewable for up to one additional year with minimum 3.0 CSU-Pueblo GPA. The scholarship is only available to non readmit students pursuing their first bachelor’s degrees.
We also award many scholarships through the CSU-Pueblo Foundation. Students must be accepted for admission prior to applying. The priority deadline is March 1. More information may be found at www.csupueblo.edu/scholarships.
CSU-Pueblo offers new students who meet minimum academic requirements their choice of one of the scholarships below. No additional application is needed. All dollar amounts listed are full academic year (fall and spring semesters) awards, and full-time attendance is required. Students must apply for admission and submit all required documents (test scores, transcripts, etc.) prior to March 1 for priority consideration. Students who wish to submit new test scores or transcripts to change scholarship levels also must do so by March 1. The scholarships cannot be combined with other CSU-Pueblo academic scholarships, unless specified.
First-Year FreshmenStudents must meet the minimum requirement of two of the three academic criteria (cumulative weighted high school GPA, ACT or SAT composite, and weighted class rank) and must enroll in the fall semester immediately following their graduation. The scholarship is renewable for up to three additional years if the student stays enrolled and maintains a 3.0 GPA.

Honors Program and President’s Leadership ProgramCSU-Pueblo welcomes high-achieving students to continue to stimulate their engagement and development through the Honors Program and President’s Leadership Program (PLP). The Honors Program allows students interaction with faculty in thought-provoking seminars and intensive, guided research, along with special opportunities for experiential and service-learning projects. PLP also offers opportunities for experiential and service learning, with a focus on developing multi-culturally competent, transformational leaders. Students may receive scholarships from both programs if they have not already qualified for and selected an automatic merit scholarship. Make the move to CSU-Pueblo.If you’ve already earned credit toward a degree, you may apply those credits to our undergraduate degree programs. After an evaluation of your transfer credits, we’ll do everything we can to allow you to use those credits toward your CSU-Pueblo degree.
Transferring from a two-year collegeOur transfer counselors and course-by-course equivalencies make the transfer process as seamless as possible. We’ve also developed articulation agreements with many two-year colleges. You may transfer up to 60 credit hours for courses with a C- or better that correspond to a CSU-Pueblo program of study.
The Destination CSU-Pueblo scholarship provides up to four semesters of scholarship dollars to help ease your financial commitment. The scholarship is $2,000 per year, renewable for up to one additional year by earning a 3.0 cumulative GPA at CSU-Pueblo. Additional information and scholarship requirements can be found in the Scholarship section of this guide, page 13.
Transferring from a four-year collegeIf you’re coming from a four-year institution, we’ll work with you to maximize your transferable credit hours. You may apply up to 90 transferable credit hours from regionally accredited colleges and universities as long as you have earned a grade of C- or better and the courses correspond to a CSU-Pueblo program of study. At least 30 of your remaining semester hours must be completed in residence to earn your degree at CSU-Pueblo. To graduate with scholastic honors at graduation (baccalaureate degree only - summa cum laude, magna cum laude, or cum laude), a minimum of 60 semester credits must be earned at CSU-Pueblo.
