Why should a company join GISFI?

Opens door to Indian market: Get your idea (on/of product) to GISFI. This also means that one can bring requirements to

GISFI thereby impacting Indian standardization direction. Via GISFI idea gets accepted in India. This also means that current products are probably

accepted by Indian standardization body. Therefore product can be officially sold in India

One can get in contact with Indian operators and industry. One can get in contact with Indian regulators and thus get key information together with contacts. Membership is cheaper than other standardization bodies Get in relation with Cellular Operator Association in India (COAI). This is a very powerful

body in Indian cellular market made of cellular operators. COAI is already active in GISFI as a board member.

GISFI makes bureaucratic path simpler and makes it easier and faster to enter India Already global companies are members and others are joining Network Operators are also joining GISFI Collaboration already exists between ETSI and ARIB GISFI will represent India in standardization forums like 3GPP: Thus companies can

get voting right in 3GPP via GISFI membership
