Iver Village Infant School
- Caring Growing Learning in the Heart of the Community
Iver Parish ouncil writing competition
Last weeks Literacy Home Learning was to
write about ‘My Favourite Place in Iver’.
The children have produced some
fantastic writing! Thank you so much for
your support.
All the entries
are currently
being judged by
the Iver Parish
Council.
What to wear
We know the sun has
been out. However
can you please make
sure that your children have a
jumper or light coat
in school. Please no
boots or sandals.
Traffic and Parking Issues
We are all aware that there are two continuous problems we are facing on a daily basis; the first
being the increase volume of traffic in our local community, particularly at dropping off and picking
up times, and the problem of unsafe parking by a small minority of our Parents.
Our children are the most important thing to us. However, some parents still choose to park on the kerbs, block
other parents or park right in front of the school gates. There are a number of children that are walking into
Grange Way and Dutton Way between the parked cars and they are unable to see traffic from both directions. We
also want some support in deterring the small minority of parents from putting their child and all our Iver Village
children at risk by parking inconsiderately and dangerously. Therefore, we ask all parents to please drive
carefully (remember we are a 20mph zone as ‘20 is plenty near our school’) and park sensibly and considerately.
To help, don’t forget that you can use the free Crocodile Walk which collects and drops children off at the Iver rec
car park. Trained members of staff collect the children in the morning at 8.30am and return them safely at 3.10pm.
