The MILLAC 33TU is a combination five-axis vertical lathe
and vertical machining center that performs precision turning
and milling operations in one setup.

A curvic coupling supports powerful M-spindle cutting (right), and rigid hydraulic clamps are used in the trunnion table below.
DD (direct drive) motors for the trunnion table provide precision indexing for fast and accurate machining.

At left:• C axis: 300 min-1
• A axis: 40 min-1
The C axis table features a standard rotary joint with 2 hydraulic ports for mounting chucks.
From this position, the OSP control panel can slide 120 mm (4.73 in.) to the right.
The OSP control panel can also be swung toward the operator to perform careful MDI, for close-up table or milling spindle adjustments with a perpendicular view of the screen.
