Businesses from the same local area getting together, on Twitter, at a specific time on a specific day, and tweeting with each other using a specific hashtag to collate

the conversation.

YES! Meet new people, strengthen relationships, pass referrals & introductions and generally build a network of people who help each other.


1. Referral Partners

During the hour look for people who would make good referral partners, put them onto a private Twitter list. Spend some time after the hour browsing their tweets, read their bio, look at their website ... Then start a conversation, get to know them

and let them get to know you!


2. Find out more BEFORE you Retweet

A retweet is an endorsement (my opinion). Wait until you’ve found out more about the business before you start to retweet them.


3. Save Some Retweets

When you retweet lots of tweets during the hour you run the risk of filling up the tweet stream of your followers (and potentially annoying them!). Save some

retweets for after the hour or the next day. Don’t make it so noisy you lose your audience.
