ARC International completes a comprehensive 31-point checklist to make sure every aspect of the roll is fully evaluated with respect to OEM specifications and your requirements. That inspection report is then submitted to you for confirmation. This ensures that your roll is returned in better than new condition, meeting the same stringent standards as ARC’s newly manufactured rolls. 31-Point Checklist 1. Report condition of container on receipt. 2. Check for physical damage to surface of roll. 3. Check face length of roll. 4. Check diameter of roll in three places. 5. Check bearing surfaces for damage. 6. Check bearing steps for size. 7. Check keyways for size and damage. 8. Check other journal steps for damage. 9. Check other journals for size and trueness. 10. Check roll for static balance. 11. Check for dynamic balance if specified. 12. Check roll for concentricity. 13. Check all threads 14. Identify incoming surface. 15. Check bore sizes and damage if applicable. 16. Check durometer if rubber surface. 17. Check and remove bearings as required. 18. Check header and journals for any identification numbers. 19. Check for header integrity to core. 20. Check snap ring grooves if applicable. 21. Check roll for taper. 22. Check if rolls have removable journals. 23. Check slot width and depth. 24. Check for number of land areas. 25. Check journal centers for damage. 26. Check for sleeve delamination. 27. Check original engraving for line count and volume as received. 28. Check for unengraved bands. 29. Check finger rings for damage. 30. Check if gear/clutch assembly requires removal. 31. Check if roll is carbon fiber or aluminum base.
